    Both lee chong wei and peter confirmed to retire after Olympic 12,

    So I think that's why Lin dan extended his retirement plan :D

    I bet you LCW will not retire after 2012.

    Peter Gade usually makes his own decisions

    .
    :D:D:D That's what the players say.

    You could find later that Peter Gade would do so (to retire after the 2012 Olympics); because he usually makes his own decisions.

    But for LCW and LD, they are different. My guesses are;

    * BAM will tell LCW to extend his retirement plan (because there are no strong Malaysian MS players below him).

    * CBA will tell LD to retire early (because many younger strong Chinese MS players are capable of replacing him).

    LCW will not retire after 2012, not just because Najib or BAM want him to but he will do it for himself.

    So does that mean that he will carry on continue playing until his age is like Peter Gade's age now?:D

    LCW is 28.5 yr old now right? (you should know since you share his name LOL:D:p)..after OLY12, LCW is close to 30. Right now, LCW is playing his best badminton and should maintain that level at OLY12.
    Now, I am guessing but willing to bet (only if I can collect my winnings:D)...given that there are no new real challengers coming up, and LD is not much younger/better and if LCW is going down, so will LD. So why not keep playing after all, the money is in US$ and not bad payday for any malaysian...being a pro player, playing is their only profession, why not milk all you can before age and time rob you of your ability. A player does not want to regret retiring too early only to regret later on. There is no such thing as enough money...only building a safety nest and that is a right thing to do.
    But I bet dollar to donut LCW would not play till PG age. PG and DEN players are not as lucky as MAS players...no PM wife as patron, gold watch, $M endorsement, no datukship, no bonus, no massage:p...they are on their own.
    So Georgie Boy...why not mark this post and we can talk after 2012...maybe the world ends, who knows?

    Of course it's better he still continues to play. For the sake of Mas badminton as well.. especially MS department. Look at the current THAI open gp.. look how many back up singles player survive the 1st round itself?

    LD would not want to over stay his welcome and forced to retire when he is a beaten force. I think LD would want to retire on top, still I say if LD wins OLY12, he retires and that is my prediction. LCW will continue to play past OLY12. And no way both player will play till PG age which is 35?

    But I thought Lin dan mentioned in the press he is staying

    Or is it the other way around, luring Lcw to stay?

    Really confusing now :p :confused:

    Either way why not stay and play at 35?

    I know the ladies would love to see some seasoned muscle :D

    when they stretched out their tight and calf muscle or

    exposed their biceps cut when smashing :D

    LCW will continue after 2012; but he would be going independent

    .
    This is my guess;

    * LD will retire in 2012.

    * LCW will continue after 2012; but he would be going independent.

    Not independent as long as PM wife is BAM patron. Also, with BAM, not bad deal...all expenses paid, keep all winnings, bonuses and if win majors like WC and esp OLY reap bonanza....so what better deal going independent?

    even if LCW said right now that he will retire after OLY12, I still say he will still be playing in 2013...of course I am guessing and could be wrong but I am willing to bet on that
