It will be good test for sea games champs Nitya/Feinya today against Tang Jinhua/Xia Huan... I only hope if Ina lost at least give a decent fight !!!

Newly crowned Princess Li Xuerui registered a commanding victory over veteran Ms Evergreen Pi Hongyan; I'd expected a closer fight ,this being the 1st round, with no fatigue problem for Pi. A sign of LXR's coming of age?! Wang SX,watch out, LXR is at your heels.

WSX is in no mood for "play-play"

Watching the Koo/Tan match to see if there's any difference in their play. So far, let's see... defend, defend, defend... lead 11-7. They're lucky the Indians lack power

I admit, all WSX's losses this year are to top 10 players, with the exception of Lu Lan, a former world champion. Even so, I don't think she deserves the No.1 status, the way she struggled, esp against attacking players. I've said it time and again, as long as WSX doesn't acquire an attacking smash shot, just relying on her consummate stroke play and special ability to make her opponents twist and turn covering all four corners of the court no longer suffice;her previously confused main rivals have gotten used to her style and found her Achilles' heel.

I agree with you, her no 1 status because WYH and WX are defending more pts from last year and not quite successful to defend it. It only matter of time before they finally regain no 1 rank again

Koo/Tan wins 21-12 but it's the same, old same old lift and defend

You can hear the CHN WD pair on the adjacent court. Not afraid to use their lungs
