    Greetings,

At suppertime, after our session at Friday CCC@Waverley on 23-May-2008, it was discussed to have officers to take care of certain departments@CCC. This has been discussed in our various CCC threads before. :):):)

Now, we shall create this thread to help newer players@ccc, directing them to our CCC Badminton Officers, with whom they should speak to regarding to different matters.

as you said clearly on friday, you would not be able to look after both friendly match and social on the nite.

this is a good step towards delegation.

i think you were even saying about the supper time organiser (which i declined). so it might look like something as followed

    (17) Supper time organiser: siva (for handicapped game), thim (for social game)
    (18) Handicapped games: siva

it's all well and good to have supper time organiser but it doesn't help those people who doesn't know anybody.

since you always tell people there's supper, I wonder is it possible for us to point out the organiser at the beginning of the session for everybody to see.

unless you want to leave the whole thing up to the organiser though.

i am sure once people found out what supper is like, they would want to come back more without us asking them.

    sorry about the confusion.

what i mean is the us meaning u. I was just thinking when you stop people and give a speech at the beginning of the session regarding to
    a) the queing system
    b) introduce the new players to everybody

During that speech, maybe you could also ask the supper organiser to "show themselves" and put their hand up for everybody (especially the new players) to see.

that is unless you would try not to have that speech all the time.

i just think that for the new players the speech is necessary, since the queing system is something new to them.

anyway, i wonder how else we can let people know of the supper organiser. write the supper organiser on the board maybe?

    any suggestion is welcomed.

hkhung... We don't like to interrupt players with speeches in the middle of their games. Although, sometimes we have to because of some important issues. However, to many players, nothing is more important than to continue playing their games.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Our Friday supper organisers are already written as in item no.(17);
Friday CCC Supper Officers: Siva-S(Handicapped Games), btchia(Friendly), chris@ccc(Social)

Sorry I did not make it clear enough when I wrote it, in Post#3 of this thread.:eek::eek:

Maybe an explanation on the above roles would get people involved?

Would closed tournament be inter-CCC? And would that be eligible to members only because if that was the case, there wouldn't be that many people. I would love a closed tournament every end season. It prob wouldn't be graded but open and would give people a ranking withing the club =)

Congratulations Chris for having so many volunteers to help in your organization. Your group must have grown in number and I hope through this extended activities it will continue to grow stronger.

Have you ever thought of organizing overseas tours for your players, either for friendly games or watching world class badminton.

    Cheers to all! :)

We need 'Worker Bees' and 'Officers' to plan and to organise our members' suggestions

    .
    Greetings,

ShyYen ... Thank you for your questions. Here are some explanations (these were suggested by our players at suppertime after our sessions over many months).

    (12) CCC League Games: Some of our CCC members, who are interested in playing competition games, are hoping that our club could organise ourselves into a few fixed teams. And with these teams, we could organise a CCC League, meaning that we could have games/matches between our teams over a period of time, a league sort of format.

    (13) Club Closed Tournaments: Just as what you have thought. It was suggested that we could have a one-day tournament for CCC members only, making it as an annual event. Please refer to this thread: click here .

    (15) Club T-shirts: Please refer to this thread: click here .

    (16) CCC Library: Please refer to this thread: click here .

To all our CCC members and visitors, all our CCC threads are located at this location: click here . From there, you could post/respond to what threads you are interested in. Perhaps, it is best to bookmark the location given.

Yes, there are so many suggestions as to what we could do. But we need 'Worker Bees' and 'Officers' to plan and to organise those suggestions in order to make them happen.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

Organising overseas tours for CCC players

    .
Loh ... After we are better organised here in Melbourne, we might plan trips to Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the USA. :):):)

Yes, many BCers, including GGsally, have invited CCC to play with them overseas.

Are CCC Club T-shirts going to happen?

    .
Last night, Wednesday 24-Sep-2008, at supper after our CCC Social Games session at MSAC, our member, Andrew-D, said that he would be interested to be our officer to organise/manage our CCC Club T-shirts.

So, let us revive the thread referred to above.

    Hi everyone,

My name is Andrew Dan. And I would like to volunteer to the club T-SHIRT officer for CCC Badminton Club.

The design of the T-shirt (they are dri-fit ones, haha) are as below.
The CCC members will just have to choose a logo for CCC badminton club to be printed on the back of the T-SHIRT.

    Thanks for the support.
