Until you guys realised that silver metals are for losers you will never produce world-class beaters. If you can be a hero by losing, why bother to win? What are the incentives?

We know that, I think LCW knows that, his expression when he lost & during prize ceremony said it all. that's why a lot of :p:p icons. The politicians, well... they're politicians.

Since you asked, incentive for gold : extra RM700,000 + extra RM2,000 monthly pension, whole life. And a Tan Sri title I suppose.;)

In that case we may see more "Datuk" from badminton players in the future... well hopefully:rolleyes:

Personally i think the coaches should be awarded Datukship first instead of players. Now Misbun has to call LCW Datuk during practise session;)

Just watch this video la: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFVYbna-muA

Watch and see how you can not feel angry and disgusted as Chong Wei and MALAYSIA'S silver medal is paraded around in Permatang as political fodder. As if the silver medal has become Barisan's.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

MALU LA! SHAME SHAME SHAME! IT IS DISGUSTING! MY RESPECT FOR CHONG WEI JUST GOT A LITTLE LOWER! ARE YOU A MALAYSIAN OR ARE YOU A BARISAN POLITICIAN?:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Cannot stand it already. Aargh.:mad::mad::mad:

When the day comes where politics and sports become so intertwined you, Chong Wei, you will be one of the main culprits.:mad::mad:

    Political Attraction

Please do do not mix sport with politic !!
Sport is sport, Politic is politic.
I am here is not support nor against any politic party for coming election.
The Ministry of Sports, BAM or related parties should think why we only can achieved the only medal instead of using the only hero for political attractions.
Our represented sportmen & sportwomen sholud start immediately for the failure done. (more training, motivation etc)
If they are restless then give them a short break then start back training.
Do not waste on taxpayer monies.
Should give more positive results in all sports.
    Please wake up.

i know it is not LCW requested for the title. aim it to the one who proposed...
i dont whether you been into meeting with Datuk or Tan Sri or Datuk Seri....
is a respect to adress them Datuk or .....
even you visit clinic, you do address Dr xxx.
    now, keep practicing
"Datuk boleh...!!" "Datuk Lee jia you...!!"
now, the coaches will be conferred Datuk Seri..... how is that?

I will be happy for the Datukship offered to Chong Wei. But one thing i don't feel comfortable is that "Datukship" is too easy to get nowadays. Instead of Datukship.. it would be good if the sports person get a medal of honor or some sports titles instead of Datuk.
They never think of the consequences when they offer Datukship to people. What if in the future we have more Olympians that get Silver or something? We would probably have more Datuks.

Anyhow i'm happy for Chong Wei. I would probably tease him. Weather Datuk or not.. he will still be the same old chong wei i know.

I thought the sole focus should be on Chong Wei for what he has achieved in Olympics but it turned out to be a political campaign for a by-election. It's a pity that the heroic feat of a sportman is valued in such a way.

Somehow giving Misbun a Datukship and calling him Datuk Misbun sounds more appropriate because of his seniority than the one given to LCW. LCW may feel uneasy wearing it and being addressed as such. ;)

I don't think giving a "Sultan" or "Saint" title to kwun is meaningful to him! :D

Misbun to Chong Wei: "Halo, Datuk, please run 2 km around this track under ? mins, okay? Fitness is your strength. Then after, hit the gym, okay Datuk? I'm going to have some roti and check back on you."
