In 2008 they competed in 3 weeks tour, Bitburger, Bulgaria & Dutch
Winning in International Series earn 2500 pts only (I don't think ranking pts is the reason to compete in this tourney)

    Just guessing,
Probably Djarum will send Andre, Adityawarman, Ari Yuli, Maria Elfira, Rosaria to India
Double players in Djarum's champ, Rendra, Luluk, Yulianti

Vita Marissa plans to participate India GP Gold with Flandy Limpele. And probably she will also take part Asian Badminton Championship (07-12 April 2009) in Suwon, SKorea.-- KOMPAS (Feb 26, 2009).

    That's good news :D

....and they are in good shape for the title, esp with Flandy now also competing in the European tourneys and notching an upset over a seeded pair yesterday.

    Looking forward to that!

Reading Kompas, Maria Kristin Yulianti is another casualty for the AE and Swiss SS.

I checked around and was told that the reason Hayom, Bandar, and Febe were sent to Romania Series and Polish Challenge [but not Finnish Challenge] was because:
    1. These three players were unstable in 2008. Winning some but then loosing unexpectedly in the next tournament... Unlike Fran-Rendra, Mel-Shendy, Fran-Shendy, Rendra-Mel... who consistently went to the semis, finals or winning International Series and International Challenge tournaments.
    2. By stopping in Poland and not continuing to Finland, they have more time to prepare for the Vietnam Challenge [followed by Thailand Series] only 3 weeks or so after Poland.

Mmmm... Flandy-Vita has to get permission by the PBSI officials. In official Asian tournaments like this, 'independents' cannot just apply to enter the tournament... Usually there are only 4 slots per country and more than likely, the National team members get more priorities...

Let's see whether Flandy/Vita can participate for those tournaments or not...

vita/flandy is better , MUCH better than Devin/Lita..
seriously if PBSI think straight they will let vita/flandy go rather than devin/lita..
    an unpromising pair..

    From Jawa Pos today:
Fransisca Ratnasari (aka Nana) joins PB Djarum. Reason cited: chances of exposure to more tourneys (both domestic and international).

IMHO a good move by both parties.

PBSI does not have shop though...may be what you mean is closing their other office ( adminstration) and move them to training centre building....to save some money and also to avoid miscommunication ( especially in registering the players)

Halleluyah....good news for Fran Kurniawan no doubt. Jenna Gozali is also a talented girl but to let her end her partnership with Mohd Ulinnuha would also not be a wise thing to do, considering they are on a rise right now.

This move makes a lot of sense! And also, the National Team training center is only 5 minutes away from Pak Joko Santoso's office [the INA Army HQ]...;)

I guess what he meant was, PBSI is not going to be the central training centre for the National Team anymore, instead PBSI is just an Administrative body for Indonesian badminton.

Overall, not a good outing for INA team in AE (and Swiss SS too, I think).

I suspect some players with disappointing performance will be grounded for some weeks, in accordance of the contract they signed.
