Isn't the point of the method to end up with the sticky part on top? If you're gonna cut it off, might as well do it the regular way (saves you a few more inches as well by skipping the starting method )
Well I like the thickness at the bottom, it's all personal preference, what works for me, might not work for you. I can make two grips out of one, with this. Don't push it ! lol, grip is grip at the end of the day, maybe it should be PSH rules! Seeing a I have a SW35, or PG rules seeing as I own a pair of SHB91s
What grip size do you use for your LD-LCW grip ? Dunno how it was for Demolidor, but with my YY G4 I even can't put the grip untill the high of the cone..with a 1/2 overlap !!
I used Gosen grip, pretty sure it's longer than AC402 (this Apacs is about G4 as well) ... normally I can go up much further (didn't stretch it so much at the end this time). Think I continued 50% overlap untill the end, normally when I reach the cone I no longer do 50%. Maybe you can try that if you also did 50% all the way ... You can create the thick bottom any method, still no point wrapping it this way if you're not going to use the sticky end but I guess it's easy to use when you use your left-over bit without a sticky part at all .
erm so for towel grips do u guys advice me to grip from the cone down or from the yonex sign up to the cone.. Thanks!
The overgrip is applied straight on wood with electrical tape or have to add replacement grip first ?
Here's my attempt. No athletic tape or excess grip underneath, but 50% overlaps to double the grip thickness. Just about perfect for me on a G4 sized grip. I had it done with excess grip at the bottom too, and liked it even more. Better feedback of the racket handle as I tend to grip the racket towards the bottom. Now the balance point on the Arcsaber 10 is around 320mm and 330mm on an Armortec 500…
first attempt it seems to be thicker on 1 side of the bottom but still it feels good..just by holding it and swinging it around off topic: it's my first time using Victor Nanotec replacement grip. the glue at the bottom seems to be less sticky compared to Karakal PU grips
Same question, one more time since I didn't get any reply on this matter. Sorry. The overgrip is applied straight on wood with electrical tape or do I need to put on a replacement grip first ? Does LCW apply a replacement grip before adding the overgrip ?
