Anyone have any knowledge of these rackets aside from company info and previous forum posts? They seem to be pretty rare rackets to find first hand info on.

I had the Slayer 88 but it was 4U. It's a fast racket since it's made to be very aerodynamic. I would say it's about mid-stiff. And probably even balance.

I don't know about the L85 but I had the L60/70 3U which were head heavy and stiff rackets.

If you're looking for a singles racket then go with Lethal series. It even works well as a doubles racket, which is what I use it for.

Since I like to attack, I prefer the Lethal series. My defense is generally pretty good regardless of the racket so a head heavy stiff racket doesn't really affect me.

The 4U Slayer 88 is a good doubles racket, but it lacks power which is why you should either find one in 3U or go with the Lethal, I think.

Lastly, the head on the Slayer feels smaller than the Lethal which means the sweetspot would also be larger on the Lethal and therefore more forgiving on mishits.

My netplay is the same regardless of the racket I use so I can't comment there.

I broke my Slayer 88 before I could do any measurements on it but my Lethal 70 (BG80, RKEP G09 grip) balance point of 292mm and 100g total weight.

Are you going to go with them, or try the AVP this time, and keep these for reserve? ;)

The problem with the world and the internet is that there is so many rackets to choose from and the ability to almost buy from anyone who sells them lol. The Lethal 85 definitely has my attention if the AVP turns out to be too stiff.

If you're looking for Apacs here are a few sites I went to:
    -sportshorizon.com
    -sports netbiz store on eBay
    -apacscanada.com (+tax)

If you ship overseas make sure they declare it as a gift.

Badminton Bay was slightly more expensive than sportshorizon and sportsnetbizstore.

If your'e getting them from the same retailer, ask them which one they think is stiffer. Don't say "do you think the AVP is stiffer than the Lethal 85" instead ask "Which of these rackets do you think is stiffer?"

The gold/purple/champagne colored version is the apacs virtuoso pro. Stiffer then the performance and is their best racket to date specs wise!
