MEN'S DOUBLES Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie [1] vs Cheah Soon Kit/Ong Beng Tiong -- a big match for Edo/Lingga....can they progress to their first GP Final? Speed and power should be the emphasis and I hope Edo/Lingga can beat the veteran MAS pair. Chen Hung-Ling/Lin Yu-Lang vs Wifqi Windarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan [2] -- although an all-INA Final is on the card, I think the TPE pair holds an edge over the young INA pair. Let's see if Wifqi/Afiat can prove me wrong tomorrow!
it'll be nice to see 2 ina's young and more improved md face off each other in the final....still believe that they can pull it off 2mrw in SF.....
More chance to see Djarum's upcoming MD pairs in the Malaysia International Challenge next week: (1) Rizky Yanu Kresnayandi/Albert Saputra (19/18) -- they have beaten Rian/Yoke this year (2) Mohd Ulinnuha/Didit Juang Indrianto (17/17) -- Ulin's regular partner is Berry Anggriawan (also 17), who has been sick recently, so Ulin is partnered with Didit. I heard Ulin/Berry are Sigit Budiarto's favorite BD and they are primed for WJC debut next year. Didit's regular partner should be Seiko Wahyu Kusdianto (still 16) if I am not wrong. (3) Rahmat Adianto/Hendra (18/??)
and also not forgetting our 2 mens single, sairul and LTS , wd pair of haw/lim pek siah too.. all the best to them too
They looked like ordinary smashes, nothing fancy.. but they could break past many of the locals' defense..
2008 New Zealand GP (SF): Rachel Hindley has made it to the Finals . Rachel Hindley [3] defeated Renuga Veeran, 21/18, 21/15, in 26 minutes .
wait. wait for this match>> Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie [1] vs Cheah Soon Kit/Ong Beng Tiong upsets are comingg hehe.. anything can happen.
It's an easy win for Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie as they defeat the MAS uncles pair of Cheah Soon Kit/Ong Beng Tiong in straight-sets 21-12, 21-11. I hope they win the title tomorrow!
oh, so no any upsets by our uncles to us in the semi final. semi final for them is already very very good for them! good job!
The TPE pair proves that experience does count as they take the first set 21-16. Too many unforced errors from Wifqi/Afiat.
Once again, the TPE pair managed to overturn a 2 pts deficit at 8-10 to lead 11-10 at the break. Grrr....
