Host CHN only have 2 representatives at last eight, Zhou Wenlong who will meet the resurging Son Wan-ho and former world junior Champ Wang Zhengming v Sakai.
Ehh... So far, most of "unknown" (i.e. those with WR below 100) home players already bungkus. And here I thought someone said even unknown home players are capable of beating world's bests. Surprising actually, since their opponents aren't exactly "world's bests", and some of them are already exhausted due to participating in Taipei Open last week. Ooops, sorry. Yes, I know. CNG. Of course.
CYK could have won it in two but lost it in three as I believe his body wouldn't listen to him anymore - the spirit is willing but the body is weak, sort of. A good showing by CYK actually. Guo Kai wilted towards the end of the 3rd set. Zhou Wenlong may have impressed despatching of, first, Rumbaka, then, LDK, but I think it'll be a bridge too far for him tomorrow against a resurgent Son Wan Ho, what with ZWL's less than ideal condition coming to this tournament after the CNG. Wang Zhengming, well, I shall reserve my comments for the time being. Tired as he probably is, I'd like to see how he struggles through one match at a time as evidence of his will-to-win and grit determination towards greater success in future.
Comparing CNG with Chinese Taipei GPG ? 1) CNG is 11-day event, CTPE 5-day; 2) CNG is a different league from the CTPE, the former has the likes of Lin Dan,Chen Long, Du Pengyu, Wang Zhengming, Li Xuerui, Wang Yihan, (doubles ?),etc. whilst CTPE has Nguyen Tien Minh, Sung Ji Hyun, Tai Tzu Ying, er....; 3) CNG participants, many of them come straight to the CHN Masters, some travelling overnight and without any rest day whilst CTPE participants coming to the CM have minimum two-day rest, 3-day for semi-finalists, more for the rest; 4) a few CNG participants at the CM have to play two matches in one day, eg Chen Yuekun who today beat Ajay in the morning but lost a close-fought 3-setter to K Momota in the evening, whilst for CTPE participants who came to the CM as qualifier, no-one, not even Shon Wan Ho needed to play more than 1 match a day. Anyway, a minor point affecting very few. Comparing apples and oranges ?
At the end of the day a win is a win and a lost is a lost. Better players or exceptional ones will overcome obstacles and welcome the challenges. Let not using the CNG as an excuse cause some care and some don't. You cannot convince them and they cannot convince you. Deeds will speak for themselves. Let wait and see the players who perform well in this tournament play the Chinese players in a more level playing field in the next few tournaments then we can judge. No one know who will has the last laugh.
Apart from Zhou Wenlong, a qualifier, the CHN WS lowly- or lower- ranked players so far outperform their MS counterparts, namely, 1) Yao Xue beat Busanan; 2) Han Li beat Sung Ji Hyun; 3) Liu Xin beat Bae Yeon Ju; 4) Suo Di beat Eriko Hirose. In MD, Chai Biao/Hong Wei upset Kim KJ/Kim SR (3) and ,better still, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen upset Shin BC/Yoo TS (6). In WD, Ou Dongni/Tang Yuanting upset Maeda/Kakiiwa (8). But the fatigue factor this time is not to be underestimated. Let's see which of the above can survive the next round.

There are too many presumptuous and mischievous so-called badminton fans here, what you said may not even have the least touch to their heart where is senseless.... they may just want all Chinese players be injured and skipped from all tournaments for 6 months so that their own favourite players could take all of the titles... badminton is so much full of bad-mind-ones... wish good luck to the sport...
A win is a win, a loss is a loss. Yet ppl could have different opinions / comments but we could judge from common sense and logical thinking. I think the schedule of CNG was really crap (someone like XC had to play 5 competitive matches within 24 hours!!) and the Chinese players really under-estimate their physical demand when registering for the China Master. So it's an inevitable consequence that they need to withdraw (to protect themselves from injury) or play crap... Anyway, this is life. The mightier you are, the more jealousy you draw.
My friend, should WZM wins this tournament, expect some people to jump into bandwagon and shower him with praise, saying things like, "Finally he has proven his worth!" or, "OMG! WZM wins despite being awfully tired!" But... If he doesn't, no worries, there is always this trump card: "Understandable lah. CNG was really tiring la." Yahda-yahda-yahda.

Yup, she even defeated Olympic Champ early this year, her attacking shot is pretty good. Totally agree, win or lose is part of competition.
