I would like to give a bief details on this racket. Bought it for 3 weeks , finally i feel I getting use to this racket. Rally : 9/10 Smashes : 9.5 smashes really power Push: 8.5/10 quite good. Tap : 8/10 Net: 8/10 Drive: 8.5/10 Backhand: 6.8/10 Backhand I am struggling , I could npt reach full base, sometimes half court, for BS 12N i think still better in terms of backhand, retreiving shutter. Overall: i give 9/10 for this racket
These 0.1 point system is not very meaningful and judging a racket for each shot sounds like a snob. It's good that people review rackets, but only a few people can do detailed reviews like Paul. Don't get me wrong, Ferrerkiko but what is your related state of art which gives a 10 in every aspect?
Hi bro : 10 means a perfect racket. No racket is perfect. Not even Yonex Lee Chong Wei Z force, balance point at 305. .. So far MX 80 is quite a good racket. Your Wrist must be strong to do a back hand like Jang Sung or smash flex the racket like him ! Overall its quite a good racket, thats why I give 9/10 for this racket.
Ferrerkiko I have to disagree with you on the basis that if you find a racket that is truly an extension of your hand and performs so well it suits your game then to me it is the perfect racket. No racket will ever be perfect for every player - we all except that. However, our tastes change over time partly as we develop and sometimes technology gives us a boost. sometimes it's the discovery of a racket that performs better than you thought even though you wouldn't have initially chosen it because of the specs. Somewhere down the line we all have to factor in the human element and personal taste. Aren't Victor releasing a re painted MX80 soon? I don't have mine any more, it's either been misplaced or stolen, but what a racket it was. Didn't have the brute force power of some of the most aggressive rackets, but honestly to this day I've never used a racket that gave me better precision, control and acute angles as the MX80. Some of the angles this racket used to let me get away with were quite ridiculous lol. I also still think it's stiffer than even some other ultra stiff Yonex rackets.
Exactly the reason on why im finding one. I don't want to miss this legendary racket. MX80N is just nonsense, it's less stiff than the JJS and MX90. MX80 is not MX80 without the stiffness. Any help? Thanks
^ We don't know yet the 80N stiffness. Victor says it's still 5/5 stiff. But placement on the racket matrix is less stiff than JJS and 90. Will have to wait for release to confirm what is correct.
When the 80N will be available in Germany? One can already get the new Jetspeed series, but not MX80 :/ There is a shop in Germany which is selling the old MX80
MX80N is supposed to be exactly the same as the old version. It's only a new colourway. I am expecting to receive my MX80 in a few weeks and I'll be doing a test for review. I'll also be comparing to original MX80 as much as we can. The only difficult part is that the new version will be 4U in Uk and the original was 3U. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
I have ask a reseller in Germany and they will get the MX80N in roughly 4 weeks. I hope they will have both weight version especially the heavy one since the MX80 is more supposed to be a singles racket.

Hi, sorry to hijack the thread, Anyone know the version of the MX80 that was available in the UK? Should it have been 3U G3 or 4U G5? The reason I'm asking is the racket I've got an MX80, 87g but the cone reads 4U G5
The UK version for the original was 3U. I'm not sure about grip size as Victor used a different naming system previously. I think it was G3. There may have been a few alternate specs as I had the same situation with JJS whereby my original was a 3UG4 and when I sold it I was sent a 4UG5. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk

IMO, the new MX80 looks really ugly.. plus they don't show the sexiness of woven racket. the head is almost fully covered with paint and only at point 1, 5, 7, and 11 o'clock where you can see the woven (can be barely seen..) compared to old MX80 where yes, they use sticker for the head, but I can see the woven clearly.
Just like Olli, I have a used one to sell, but I'm not aware of any (German) shop still selling new ones. tennistown is really the only shop I know that stocks up on bigger amounts of Victor rackets, and they haven't had any Mx80s for some time...
