i didn't find it in the local hardware store. i ordered it from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H9JJ9W/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details the material is 6061-T6 Aluminum alloy which is one of the most popular and stronger Aluminum alloys.
and all those one piece badmitton pattern from Haribito and Victor! will for sure be doing a video of those!
I managed to do Victor's 80 grommets pattern with flying clamps last week! Was definitely one of the most challenging string jobs I've had to do! heh
the base clamp is nice. but i have to admit that the Yonex one is lighter action. the Gamma one is strong but so is the spring back and i hit my fingers a few times and it hurts like hell. that's kinda my plan also, even though i didn't find it that necessary to use a 6 oclock load spreader. yeah. that could be scary process. but having earned/saved more money from stringing than the cost of the machine and also being my birthday helped!
you mean you prefer it to be level with the stringbed and give up 360 rotation? will do that tonight! but from memroy, it was tight. sometime the end teeth will move the string by 1mm or 2. and the side support isn't perfect, it still protrude into the frame area by less than 1/2 cm. anyway you will see it when i have the pics.
Yes, but not exactly give up 360 rotation. Since badminton shaft is flex, it can be lift up 1/2" to go over the tension head.
you guys are good. i have strung 2 rackets on my Gamma so far. one badminton, one tennis. 1:1 ratio. this is getting off to a pretty poor start.
I would like to add that stringing a tennis racket with the 6004 is a no brainer. Very straight forward task.
totally easy after adjusting clamps. i think the setting for the WISE gripper was a bit too tight though as it marred the string at some locations. but bleh. who cares, it is only tennis. but the WISE did get its highest workout ever, 57.5lbs. string that racketsupply chose for me was Babolat Addiction 17g. i am clueless about tennis string but i looked and it seems to be pretty decent review. now, onto my new MX80, SW35, and UltraPro... hehe.
btw, does anyone put oil on the base clamp track? mine seems a bit dry and the sound is a bit scratchy. i wiped a layer of oil on it and it seems smoother though. too bad i don't think it will ever get as smooth as the ES5Protech.
