Until now I have used MP77 with Zymax (0.62 24 x 26) for about 20 hours men's doubles, in short, I am very happy with the string! As Edd said, lots of repulsion power, hence I don't suggest what "illusionistpro" recommended ( drop 5-10% on tension for a similar feel), instead, you should increase about 5-10% because this string is extremely powerful again as Edd mentioned, there's quite a bit of movement on the strings as they bedded in, especially on mains, should I increase the tension on cross to stop mains moving??? (pro stringer pls advise !! ) cos I didn't have the same problem with BG80 or BG65Ti before. this "main moving" issue is the only thing I feel a bit annoyed. Apart from that, this string is perfect, best I've ever used, and I haven't noticed any damage to the strings I suppose it's durable at 24 lbs.
Available on ebay? What do you guys thing about buying from ebay. The Zymax's are available from a seller called fyldesports for around 75 pounds. I am very tempted to buy the .62 from him.
Just to report that the .67mm Zymax is truly wonderful. Have been playing with it for 2 weeks and is a definite improvement in string manufacturing technique. Couldn't say what it is cause I've no idea. Check it out if you have access to it.
Info on ZyMax Strings A news release on the ZyWeaVe technology used to make Ashaway ZyMax strings has just been posted at Racquet Sports Industry. Here's the link: http://www.racquetsportsindustry.com/news/2009/08/new_ashaway_zyweave_technology.html Ashaway says it will have info on the strings up on its US site soon. TR
Here it is (last three): http://anonym.to/?http://www.sportak.nl/index.php?manufacturers_id=15 I noticed they have payment details for foreign buyers but only the IBAN/BIC type (bank-to-bank, no paypal or creditcard). If needed I could probably help out with buying and shipping. Just read in the shipping they specifically mention Belgium, Denmark and Germany as foreign countries, to which the shipping is €13.50.
You have any details for the ZyMax Pro? Bought 2 reels of 62 from Fylde Sports for 60 pound each will give my comments when I get it here in Australia. Will restring my Arc 10 and see.
It is Zyex Pro, They were planning to sell this for the consumers instead of the now ZyMax 62 67 and 70. However things didnt work out. The Zyex Pro is 0.64mm I believe ...its a 22 gauge.... i need to check again if i can find the papers
Strung my Nanospeed 9900 with Zymax 0.67 at 22lbs. I'm testing this against Yonex BG80 (I usually use BG65Ti). Too early to tell the difference but will be giving it a harder workout tomorrow night. Initial thoughts following stringing and a couple of coaching sessions I gave. It strings well and feels tight. There doesn't appear to be as much "bite" on the string compared to BG80 because of the texture. But, my racquet felt tighter initally after stringing.
I have bought from him numerous times. Good seller and fast service. Just email him what you want to make sure he has stock.
