It is important to not stretch out replacement grips, so the grip can provide maximum comfort and preserving tack. If you overstretch, the layers may tear and become thinner and uneven, making it less comfortable to use and in a state where it's qualities are not at an optimal level.

Kevin, if using the ultimate grip is still too thin for you, you can try the thicker ones like the King grip. But remember that feeling the bevels is very important for any racket sport. A good player should be able to instinctively feel where the racquet face is pointing by how the bevels and ridges in the wood feel in their hand. So while cushion is good, it is a bad idea to apply so much grip that you loose the feel of the bevels.

i tried the 0.6mm one today, i think it was the G10.

the initial feel and first game is pretty good. appropriately tacky and not overly so. feel is very good.

a bit short though, i have to rewrap a few times to have it cover the whole grip's length.

will post longer term review when i use it more.

and in terms of sweat. only after 5 game did i need to start regularly wiping off the sweat on the grip. this was in a pretty cold evening.

might not work with someone in hot and humid climate or someone who perspires a lot more than me.

I tried the G09 and it's really good. More tacky then the G10 and 11 and feels like a overgrip version of the Ultimate. What I find neat about RKEP is that the finishing tape actually stretches!

I change my grips every 2 weeks or until it looks ugly/wear. But the tackiness is still going even after the grip turns grey. I don't sweat alot but it still stays tacky when I do. Feels better then the Karakal nano 60's IMO

They definitely need to make it a little longer.

Are you guys doing 50% overlap? I find that it just hits nicely undernerth the cone and I don't even bother trimming it to make it look neat. But I have a habit of always using the full overgrip no matter the length.

    For the Note:
    Yonex supergrab is 1200mm
    RKEP G10/G11 1050mm
    RKEP G09 1100mm

i had to do less than 50%. if 50%, then it is short by an inch.

G10 is wider than G9 therefore it is shorter.

neither of which are long enough.

Hmmm both are stated to be the same width, stated at 25mm on the website. Strange.

Most time I do 50% overlap. So for example, AT900T, it's longer handle, the grip length is not enough. For short handle, like AT600 or VT70, it's just OK.

    my G10 and G9 have different width/length.

    G10 : W27mm x L1050mm
    G9 : W25mm x L1100mm

and yes. 50% overlap is not long enough.

I haven't done one in a while, but the RKEP has always been more than long enough for me. I have yet to meet an overgrip that was too short.

I'll talk to Eric to see if I can get some extra long 1200mm ones made for you kwun

i do like the feel of the G10. slightly soft and supple and the just right amount of tackiness. it is not the more wrinkle resistant (stiff) of grip but aside from some shifting, it is pretty good so far.
