Here's my prediction for 6 possible thing to happen in the World of Badminton by the end of 2007.

    1. Lin Dan still maintain his undisputed world no. 1 ranking.
    2. Zhou Mi to enter the Women's Singles Top 10 Ranking.
    3. Gao Ling to win 2-3 more titles.
    4. Yang Wei/ Zhang Jiewen back to the top spot in the Women's Doubles Ranking.
    5. Bao Chun Lai to overtake Lee Chong Wei in the men's world ranking.
    6. WIDIANTO/ NATSIR Nova Liliyana and LIMPELE/ MARISSA Flandy Vita maintain the top 5 position in the Mixed Doubles World Ranking.

    Agree Guys? any comment?

    Thanks!

    1. Lin Dan still maintain his undisputed world no. 1 ranking.

    Most likely.

    2. Zhou Mi to enter the Women's Singles Top 10 Ranking.

    Definitely.

    3. Gao Ling to win 2-3 more titles.

Almost guaranteed, assuming you're counting both WD and XD.

    4. Yang Wei/ Zhang Jiewen back to the top spot in the Women's Doubles Ranking.

Difficult to say, I personally think they may not.

    5. Bao Chun Lai to overtake Lee Chong Wei in the men's world ranking.

    I doubt this very much.

    6. WIDIANTO/ NATSIR Nova Liliyana and LIMPELE/ MARISSA Flandy Vita maintain the top 5 position in the Mixed Doubles World Ranking.

    Yes

Zhou Mi has moved up the rankings again and this week sits at #14. :) Can she qualify for the Olympics now? She has also just amassed 10 tournaments.

    I wonder:

Will the Lilyana Natsir/Marissa Vita combination will enter the top 10. Seems very likely given their mixed doubles pedigree. They currently sit at #33 and have competed in 5 tournaments.

How long more do you reckon before Lee Hyun Il re-enters the top 20?

Wong Choong Hann has a solid ranking of #13. I feel this is a true reflection -- nearly top 10 again. Agree?

Disagree, I think LCW is still world number two until end of 2007. Need significant improvement from BCL to replace him, BCL's best outcome so far are thrice runner-up positions (MAS, INA and DEN SS). LCW is top-form now after poor performance first quarter of this year, 2 SS (INA and JPN) titles has proven that.

Yeah, also know this issue from local newspaper and sport tabloid that TH will be Agum Gumelar's campaign spoke-person (JurKam). But I guess, after Beijing Games (August/08).
