    No Social Badminton This Saturday

    Due to our Interclub Match with Southern Star this Saturday, no social badminton will be held. A total of 40 players will be taking part!!

    .. I was inspired by that Target T-Shirt ad :), and beside I'm reading the writing on the wall .. so if this is going to be my last trophy hunting year then I want a memento to remember it .. 2009 has been a good year :D

    Results from Interclub Match Vs Southern Star

    Although Titans won convincingly, many games were very close especially in Open and B Grades. A number of Southern Star (SS) players could not make and that gave us a slight advantage.

    The overall result was :

    Open Grade : SS - 5 games (534 points) beat Titans - 5 games (518 points)
    A Grade : Titans - 9 games (596 points) BEAT SS - 1 game (425 points)
    B Grade : Titans - 5 games (544 points) BEAT SS - 5 games (500 points)
    C Grade : Titans - 9 games (592 points) BEAT SS - 1 game (360 points)

    Individual scores will be emailed to participants only.

    Well done to the above players and thank you to all the participants for making it a great event. Thank you Irvan for hosting the tournament at SS and Jimmy for organising the SS players. There has already been discussion for a rematch in November.

    You had a good chance of getting a trophy. I'm in the same boat as you, came third. Trophies only went to the top 2 players in each grade. Better luck in November when the rematch will be played.

    MUBA - Melbourne Uni shemale badminton club has challenge us to a badminton tournament .. all double same as the Vs SS last time ... 4 pools of 4
    ... post your interest .. since only 16 spot be quick to get in.
    Sunday the 30th August .. next week .. at MSAC Albert Park ... time maybe about lunch time or evening

    Since there's no Titan social or MUBC social next week end due to both our venues being used by other no-badminton purpose.

    Me and Patrick from MUBC thought we might just as well have a interclub match... not enought time to have trophies made .. its an adhoc challenge :D

    .. and me and you will have to play D grade .. since the others have to much pride to play in D :)

    so maybe you, me, Michael and Shy in D grade :rolleyes:

    Dammit was hoping they wouldnt record the scores .. if Loke Poh gets hold of it we might not get into B/C in monash

    ... but good news i may have convince Jerry to let us play C and B grade in the MUBC tournament :D

    MSAC is booked out for some team event thing.

    * Also all of MUBC males players were allegedly going to be busy getting manicures and eye lash extension :D
