We shall again do this 'Clear' lesson (from your suggestion) when you return. Because it's going to be quite a cold day tomorrow, and we have 4 girls attending (who are geared up to do this lesson), I shall continue to conduct this topic. Besides, I believe our girls will need 2 sessions before they can master the technique for this stroke. .
Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 07-Jul-2013 (A Short Report) . Here is a short report for our Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 14-Jul-2013. We thank trainees for removing themselves from our 'Booking List' when unable to attend; therefore opening up vacancies for new trainees wishing to join us. Reminder : If you are unable to attend, kindly remove your name ASAP so that others can replace you, otherwise you will be fined. Why? Because there could other CCCers wishing to attend (checking to book in - up to the last hours), but finding themselves missing out after we have FULL HOUSE. At this CATS, we welcomed 2 new trainees ; 1. Amy-T - New BCer 2. Magali-D - Amy-T's friend Hope they had enjoyed training with us. Tracy-T was using ankle-weights for our full CATS session. Hope that she is not having sore legs today. At this CATS, we conducted the topic on 'Sliced Clear'. However, our 4 girls diverted the session to a 'Level Doubles – (Players' Positions)' topic (see Post #1 - Chapter 14). Some points to remember : * The 'Square' is a defending position. * The 'Front-and-Back' position is an attacking position. used when moving to the net; to hit the shuttlecock at your forecourt. * When 'Squaring', know who is the one to choose which side of the court to occupy. * The partner of a player who is required to move backwards to play a shot should quickly move to the 'Middle-T' position. * etc, etc, ...... I feel that some trainees are still not understanding the lesson taught here. Please ask me questions next session (to answer any doubts that you have). Comments on our 4 attending trainees: * Chong-S is not remembering to move to the 'Middle-T' position when her partner is forced to the back of the court. * Tracy-T, who has done this topic before, has done well. * Amy-T, being new, is doing OK. * Magali-D, being new too, is also doing OK.
