Admins and Mods, I was wondering if there was anyway to change my display name to a different one without changing email address and making a new account. Thanks for the help.

Kwun is the only one who can decide. (If the software allows it)

I think the answer will be no.............

You can contact the admin to change your user name, since this forum is based on vBulletin. At another forum, I changed my user name from something ( i forgot ) to Yonex by simply asking the admin the change it. However, this can cause some problems.. people wont know who you are.

Actually, I want to change my id too.. my friends at school have always been replying to my comments on BC, at school. :S
But because of all the hassle I have to go through after changing my ID, I just cant be bothered to ask kwun to change it.

I wouldn't ask kwun to change "athelete" to "athlete" in my name....I'm being haunted forever by one typo..

    Hi all,

the official policy is that we don't allow change of the username.

the reason is really simple, if we allow people to change username freely, then people can change identity very simply and then the discussion will be very confusing. today I am John, tomorrow i am Susan, next day i am Tony Gunawan.

    i hope you understand.

    I would assume..

..that screen-name is reserved for the one and only Tony Gunawan..

    ..however, if you'd like......maybe you can adopt a shorter & more hip screen-name of Tony_G..:p ;)

This looks like a start of something interesting, namely:

"How did you all come up with your user name???"

He probably gets ribbed about it every day ;)

Well, if I were you, I'd pass it off as a mythical Greek hero's name.
For instance, you could be Athena's or Achilles' brother.
Come to think of it, Athelete does sound like a Greek name

Uhm..more to contribute in exchange for a new screen-name..

..you do know what DinkAlot provided/contributed to BC after he changed his screen-name, do you??..hint: see his many reviews of different baddy equipments...;)
You don't want Athelete1234 to be pressured to do the same like what DinkAlot did, would you??.. :p:);)
