It depends on how long you play per week/month. It also is dependent on how hard you hit and what shots you hit most often. Slices will wear strings down and so on. I don't believe type of shuttle is a big factor. There isn't a universal term of lifespan.
well i play eveyr other day, tuesday, thursday and saturday.. for 1.5-2 hrs... i usually do hard clears and drops not much smashing since sigles doesnt have that much smashing for girls...i rarely do slices...so you tihnk bg 70 or 65 would last longer for me ? thanks
whoa what's your tension/string/frequency of play?? Seems like your a hard hitter or something lol. My BG85 is still going strong =) except a few nicks hehe
oo LOL its becuz my friend he is crazy!!! he broke 5 of my friends strings within a week then i let him borrow mine then he broke mine too LOL so yea... good thing he paid me back and my friend phew
OMG, this tiny little woman is eating my BG65 for breakfast. She broke it in 1 month. She plays lots. Neverthless she is under observation now before I do anything about it.
I always wanted to try the nanogy when I first heard it but it's priceyyy...I rather get BG80 or something for that price.
I play doubles 8-9 hours per week and my strings (BG88-t1, CBG-100) usually last about 2 months on average. At least that was true with my MPs (88 and99). But this year I've switched to NS 9k/S and NS 7700 after both MPs gasped their last breaths. Both were ordered prestrung with BG88-ti @ 24lbs and lifetime was pretty much the same as usual. Since I still had a reserve of four packs of CBG-100, I tried it out once the prestrung strings gave out... The first one broke during warm up :crying: The second one broke on the stringing machine The third one broke after four hours of play The last one broke during warm up All four broke near the grommets (either 9 or 12 o'clock - my strings usually break in the middle of the main) and the string felt like it stretched a lot during smashes and clears (especially compared with BG88-ti). Should one conclude that CBG-100 and NS are incompatible ??? BTW, BG88-ti also seems to be discontinued in the latest Yonex catalog...
Well, I know at least I did not mishit the one that broke on the stringing machine And the stringer did replace some grommets while stringing... But I've never had this problem before with BG88-ti ...or with CBG-100 previously on my MP rackets for that matter...even though I'm pretty sure my mishits during warmup must have been pretty similar in those other occasions... But this combination (CBG-100 and NS9k) did feel quite different from my previous experience with MP88-99. It felt like the string stretched WAAYYY more on a smash than usual. I found myself checking the racket and string after smashes to see if everything was OK... Keep in mind that CBG-100 was introduced before the NS series. That's why I'm wondering if they are compatible (the Japanese catalog mentions CBG-100 only with NS6k and MP 80 and favors mostly the Nanogys otherwise). Anyone else had this experience with that combination?
my nanogy 98 broke after 1.5 months of use. poor durability compared to my other strings which take 3+months to break. Now i am trying nanogy 95
Have you tested the nanogy95 yet? as I am going to use that string this friday, gonna get my racquet restrung , so far review of the BG80 is very good, and for the NBG95 its good for everything like the BG80 BUT for net plays not so good... I can't belive its going to cost me NZ$35 to get my racquet restrung! Its outrageous!! (\_/) ... so yea.. i have to make a good choice right now... BG80 or NBG95? hmmm....
I used the NBG95 a few times now and i think it is more of an all-rounder string compared to BG80 where it is more for smashing players.
i first got my racket taht was strung in hk...they broke jsut over a year...but when i restrung it back in van they jsut broke over 3 months..thats really wierd...
one of my MP88 had its BG70 pro strung @ 24lbs and is still in there after 2 years lolz (play with it 2-3hrs per week) my other MP88 had its BG80 strung @ 24lbs and broke after 3 months. (played the same amount of hrs per week), now currently a BG75Ti on it
Will hopefully break faster at 24lbs. I hate loose strings... BG65 mostly lasts me for 8 months or so.
