why bother, its not simple, seeing all the other shuttles are joint with a white string around the feathers, why if you pull the broken one out the rest will go with it too
With the necessary tools, which include an awl, plier, small pair of scissors, and glue, you can repair a shuttle easily and also quickly. The repaired shuttle plays as well as a non-repaired one of the same wear-stage. I repair only new shuttles that were unfortunate enough to have a feather or two broken by mishits. I don't bother with worn out shuttles.
I felt that it makes sense to me... bcoz glue is more cheaper that shuttlecocks...Just glue it in and start butting it!!!
Glue? Can you tell me what sort of glue you use please? I am into repairing shuttles now and have some pva type glue, but I am not sure about it. I weighed some new shuttles and some I had repaired and I found that the repaired ones were 0.5 gm heavier. What I am not sure about is what the weight variation in shuttles is. These are all Yonex AS30. Thanks, Peter
