I think the hardest shot would be to do a backhand clear cross court when you are late because you've just dive to reach a very pointing smash on the forehand side...

No really I think any shot involving slicing is hard to master... :crying:

Why would you want to attempt a backhand cross-court clear when you're 'late'?
That would be a very poor choice of safety shot.

It's strange that only Taufik's backhand smash is so lauded.

I believe Chen Hong has an equally, if not more, powerful backhand smash. :)
From the recently retired lot, I'd also vote for Pullela Gopichand.
It was no different with quite a few of the old masters.

It seems, in the age of saturated sports coverage, Taufik has got noticed a lot more.

I think that Chen Hong's backhand is underrated, but Taufik's I'm pretty sure is more powerful.

The most difficult backhand stroke is the straight smash down the tramline. In contrast the backhand cross smash is much easier. The easiest backhand stroke is the high clear. So far Taufik is better than anyone, especially in the straight smash. I notice that LCW is using this stroke of late but still not quite up to Taufik's class.

Clear is the most difficult shot to master for me~~ I'm improving but still not satisfied~!
In fact, my favorite shot is crosscourt net~~
I play mixed doubles often so I had lots of chances to practice net playing skills~:D

The next most difficult backhand stroke from deep in the corner is a straight drop. In contrast the backhand cross drop is much easier, just like the cross court smash.

fun to see the wide variety of ''hardest shot''

For me the smahs was hardest, but know i can hit a decent spash, which is very accurate.

Lately my trouble shot is the drive on my forehand. When i get a really sharp fast shuttlein the backcourt, i have to put all mij strenght into it to manage a drive the the other sides back-court.

My best shots are fast attacking clears, and cross-court dropshots from my backhand..... gets them every time :p

Another difficult shot to master is to return a shot that is hit well past and deep to your backhand with the shuttle falling below shoulder height.

For me,the most difficult is cross court.I often lose the control over net cross court. The other is jump smash..can never smash it really hard during jump smash.Back hand smash as well..the rest..still ok.

After seeing CH plays several time,i agree chen hong is one of the players who uses backhand smashes. But i am afraid i have to disagree with u.CH's back hand smash is not equal to TH's.TH have made back hand smashes looks like n as powerful as a forehand smash. No one else can do that.:)

Backhand crosscourt drop (and drop). My backhand clear and smash are both playable, but I have trouble controlling the pace and distance of my drops. Some people can even slice the shuttle using their backhand +_+

As for forehand stroke, definitely blocking or lifting a smash with the forehand (crosscourt forehand blocking a straight smash @_@). Definitely most difficult shot for me.

hmmm ...i believe almost all slow drops are sliced to a certain extent:cool:So i suppose that includes backhand? My backhand drops are often sliced cos it makes me feel more deceptive ???? Wonder if i'm doing anything wrong cos most people place emphasis on a squared contact when it comes to backhand...
