limsy, every player goes through phases. If Sindhu has crashed just now it doesn't mean she does not have the potential to become a top player yet. Even Inthanon and TTY went through some rough patches. You should know all this... If Sindhu has any brains, she will learn from this experience, and it will make her a better player later on. So don't be in a hurry to write her off, yet.
Another Sindhu, Sindhu Bharadwaj just lost in U-17 from Rena Asela, the time almost same with Sindhu P.V.'s match. http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=493E40B8-9CD7-452E-ABA2-64D683B8405E
Just to make a point ,if fukushima reaches the final then for PVS its losing to a finalist and that is as good as reaching the semifinal hehe
Just to make a point ,if fukushima reaches the final then for PVS its losing to a finalist and that is as good as reaching the semifinal hehe . IMO I think PVS has actually won against fukushima as only due some fear/fatigue/mental weakness could anybody come out of 18-11 position. 9/10 will win from such a position.
But she's lost to Fukushima TWICE in a matter of a few days. Could also be mental letdown. I was so sure Sindhu was going to win the second time round. Almost like the CL v LCW situation.
Maybe not! After all, she has won a few international titles, won over quite a few players ranked way above her, and played consistently good badminton over a period of time to get some very commendable results. Maybe just a dip in the graph at the wrong time (LOL, is there ever a right time for a dip?) ...and oh yes, she's still 17 years old. At 17 years, all I was doing was standing at street corners, smoking, commenting on the girls passing by... now I'm doing it on forums!
The same way that Rat and TTY were overrated too because of their inconsistencies? These two plus Sindhu are young and they all go through good and bad patches as they find their feet. They will all come good. It's only a matter of time.
too be fair we should put sindhu in the same column with TTY and TI in term of achievement(if and since u guys say she is so good) both TTY and RI already won grand prix gold, beaten at least half of the top 20 ws player how about sindhu?

I think all the anwsers will be out after the upcoming two super series she is participating for the first time. it will highlight her potential as to how she fares against superior oponents and the way she loses . though i dont have much hope but lets see
Well Well the result is clear , she is not in the upper crust. maybe we overrated her. she plyed very poorly in both the super series and failed to qualify. she's not in saina's league
Sindhu is participating at the India International Challenge 2011, Scheduled in Mumbai from 14-18 December. She is seeded #2 in the WS behind Eriko Hirose, who is the #1 WS seed here. I hope she does full justice to her seeding this time around. The past 2 months have not gone too well for her in terms of consistency, and she needs that, to bring her natural confidence back into her game.
2011 India GP . I thought it's the 2011 India GP tournament. Eriko Hirose has just injured herself and I am certain that she would not be participating. Therefore, Sindhu should be the #1 WS seed here. .
If everything goes according to seedings and form, then Sindhu will face #3 seed Chan Tsz Ka from Hong Kong, in the semi-finals. In terms of seedings, this would be the real finals!
