I feel bad for Hong Wei. I'm sick of watching Shen Ye. Hong Wei is playing so well and so hard. His partner is losing the game for him. Shen Ye making so many mistakes its incredible.

But don't bet on them diving for any shuttles.

 

As usual,after another hard battle,WSX prevails. In G1,she played fairly well. In G2,she self-destruct, even her smashes were easily returned with interest,esp one where instead of going for the body smash, it was slightly to Eriko's left where she could simply tapped it over the net. Smashing isn't all about speed and power only but when and where, and being able to anticipate your opponent's return when it's not an outright kill to get ready to follow up with your next shot.

Luckliy in G3,WSX found back her rhythm and as the game progresses here confidence and self-belief returned. On the whole,still too few smashes but lots of deception at the front court. The purpose of deceptive play is to catch your opponent off guard and create opportunities for you to attack, even then WSX chose by habit to follow up with drop shots and clears instead of more attacking shots.

Anyway, WSX is not only striving for her revival but also fighting for her survival in the CHN national team. Looks like she has made it to the semi-final. Way to go !

 

Meanwhile. LXR is displaying her consummate attacking skills against Sung JY, duly taking G1,21-9. She is in fine form today.

Another grueling battle is brewing between DuPY and Ponsana, the first two sets, one apiece,went to deuces. Let's see if DuPY's diligence and persistence which he is well-known for will pay off in the end.

 

In G3,DuPY increases his lead to 11-5, a comfortable margin.

Du PY won all his group-stage matches including the last one, def. Boonsak Ponsana 24-22 / 21-23 and 21-8 in 71 tiring match.

 

In G2, LXR relaxed and slackened a little but still scored an emphatic win, 21-12.

 

Who would have thought at the beginning of the tournament that DuPY would beat Lee CW, let alone top group A winning all his matches, incredible.

 

In the decider, DuPY made his superior fitness and stamina count while Boonsak was visibly tiring.

 

Thats what I meant also. If cheer for Boe/Mo, the Danes must win to eliminate Fu/cai. If it goes to rubber, count points,cannot cheer too hard,else Msia will be eliminated. See AlanY explaination

 

I bet KKK/TBH must be cheering for the danes to kick CY/FHF out in straight game cos they know the cant beat the CHN pair in the final after all.
