AP62 is less stiff than Zy62, and so IMO is more "accessible". AP62 has slightly less grip on slices, but it's not a huge difference. Power-wise I have them neck and neck.

Six hours in with AP62 now, and it gets better and better:).

Is MBS going to carry the AP62 and other LN strings soon?

I hope so - it's such a winner. I don't think Winston would send me these things to test unless he's at least on the fence about it, so if he reads enough gushing praise on BC it might make his mind up;).

MBS already has the 1st gen Li Ning rackets (and the N90-II) and bags on its books, so strings should be easy. I'll have to ask Winston what his intended sticker price would be - I have a good idea what I would be prepared to pay for AP62:D.

How does AP62 compare to other thin strings (besides Zy62, specifically bg66, bg66s, bg66m and nbg98)?

MBS is sending my 4 packets of AP62...should get them in about a week. Have been using NBG98 all this time, and so far nothing has come close. Was using BG80, then BG85. Hopefully I won't be disappointed.

My favorite tension has always been 26/28 #s, on my favorite racquet ArcSabre 8DX.

Have played with AP62 for about 5 hours now...strung @ 26/28 #s on Arc 8DX. Very impressed with it. No fraying yet. Thought it wouldn't last the first hour being so thin. Tension's still holding. Love the power and control...more so than NBG98...so far.

    Li-Ning is rebranding Ashaway strings AP62 = ZyMax62, AP90 = ZyMax67
The "made in USA" gives it away :p

Just a quick one, I am playing with Ashaway MP at 23x25, and word has it that with the ZyMax 62, I should go down a pound or two lower. Does this still apply to the AP62 or not so?

    Thank you Mark.

    Justin.

The AP62 has lasted almost 10 hours of play and still no notching??!!!! Very impressed... I would have replaced the NBG98 by now and notchings would be there too.

I am looking into buying LN AP62, but as my new tension is 28lbs, I am worried about durability, would I be able to get around 20-25 hours out of it ?

Even if I reduced my tension to 26-27lbs could I get around 25hrs out of it ?

And do you have to reduce the tension, because it feels tighter, like you have to do with zymax 62.

I have it strung at my favourite tension of 26/28 #s on my favourite racquet, Arc 8DX.

Any reviews or feedback between the AP62, ZyMax62 and SOTX HS-63? From what I gathered from this thread and the SOTX string thread, both HS-63 and AP62 are for more durable and 'friendlier' than the ZyMax62 but offer similar, if not better performance. Perhaps someone with experience with such strings can comment?

I am looking at alternatives to BG66 or Micropower, I just want something different and don't think they have it locally here, so might have to do some ordering. Would like to hear some feedback before I commit.

Mine is @ 28 #s and has lasted 10 hours of hard play and still no notches...IMHO you should have no problem.
