    good looks

    Hi kwun,
    i'm new here,
and would like to give my opinion. this forum looks great and fresh. a well done job i must say. if the light green line on the left is to be navy blue or any other blue, this place would definitely look perfect.

An example of all similar colours can be seen at the Roland Garros Tennis Courts, in France.

    Excellent! Glad to help :)

I notice that the site now switches between centred and left-aligned when you edit a post. This is odd, and a little disconcerting. Perhaps they are using different stylesheets, or the edit mode activates inline styles that override the stylesheet?

The centred view definitely looks better; in particular, the green border on the left gets more attention and feels more balanced.

It was left, then after logging in, the page was centred.

    Hmm...

..kwun, the page is centered now:)..however, when i click on the Thread Tools and Forum Tools features(near the top), the options are now offset to the right, partially disappearing off the page...Btw, i'm using IE 6.0..;)

    Oh, no...

    (sorry abt this, kwun)..
...looks like i'm having the same if not similar issue as the ladies...Not only are the Forum & Thread Tools offset & partially disappear off the page, when i click them, but for some reason, when i click on the Quick Links and especially the Search features(at the top), and when i move the cursor/arrow, all those features/options just jump all over the place(even disappeared).:p
Interestingly, this does not happen when i'm in the Reply or writing mode. Only in Reading mode:confused:
This didn't happen before today, prior to kwun changing the layout. I will see what happens later tonight, at home. No big deal, though.:)
*I'm using IE6.0 at home & work. Display at 1280x1024.

    Hmm, I noticed..

..in Reading mode, it should be okay..But only IF we move the cursor vertically down and across after we click the Search feature, almost in a cautious way..If i move the cursor "quickly" either diagonally or horizontally, after clicking the Search feature, the Search box will disappear right away..;)

    Ah..

..abt the partial disappearance, actually they are there..I just need to use the scroll bar a bit to see the options:p...But, they are way to the side, from before..

Now this is what you call self-help. :)

In respect to the positioning, the forum software may need to be tweaked - I sort of noticed the distinction between 'logged in' and 'anonymous' user while testing out Drupal.

Edit: Seems like that 'distinction' can be thrown out of the window - it goes left when I try to edit.

    Hmm, looks the same..

..seems to look the same as in the office..:p
I also notice there is a divider band in each sub-forum now..separating & making the sticky threads more distinctive than the rest..

aikes. yes. the centering is only working some of the times. all the pages are supposed to be using the same code. i am not sure why this is happening...

the divider is another new feature. :) separating out the stickies makes them stand out more and hopefully ppl will pay more attention!

    Hmm, looks like it's back..

...to before...kwun, i think the layout is ok either way, doesn't matter. I mean, at least the options, search boxes are still there, just a bit "displaced" if you switch to a center layout. Yes, we'll be waiting for a work-around, which i'm sure the solution is there..;)

Yes, I was finding the site kept flickering between centred and left-aligned when I pressed buttons/clicked links  Very strange!
