I am 17 in HK, I 've strung around 20 rackets with crank machine, the time of YONEX 4 knots pattern is 30 mins without pre-weaving & of GOSEN Haribito pattern , I used around 40 mins I wanna to string within 30mins with Gosen's pattern
I am still around the hour mark unfortunately. Prestringing is not much of an option on my machine since the gripper is a bit too far from the racquet. I would love to able to weave the crosses like in that video. That weaving technique is really fast. Heading into summer here and I just can't do that with sweaty finger tips!
That cross weaving technique is amazing. I have seen it live once in SF. The stringer went through each cross like there were no friction!
Peter the Great, what was your best time on the laserfibre with a basic yonex pattern ie ti10? i'm still around 1ish mark best =(
No kidding? Those rackets with plenty of shared grommets are short of a nightmare. I just got a 'contract' to do 40 rackets, doubling my numbers in one swoop. Wish me luck.
hmm just timed mine for few several last stringing... fastest is 32 minutes with prestringing (not on machine). I used to do prestringing on the machine and slightly put tension to main so I can preweave the cross like that on the video.. but now I just preweave not on machine. to be honest, I like stringing around 45 minutes. slowly but I like to put safe and neatness over than speed. safe as in less stress to racket frame.. also make sure all the string is tidy (especially outside frame).
Ever try cutting the string at an angle then angle the string either up or down while trying to put it in the difficult shared hole?
yup..i pull string by string..but take into consideration i string over 20 rackets PER day..lol no shortcuts ever~ credits to Yonex ES5Pro~
WOW!! FAST!! Faster than US Open Stringers, They just under 20 minutes, I was watching them. They using ES5 Pro and ProTech too
Hey Ah_Shum, how do you pre-weave both main and cross in two minutes?! Or do you simply do the main and then do the cross as you tighten them, just like in that video a few posts ago? I've tried using the string mover to free up shared grommets just like in the video, but it doesn't seem to work quite as well for me. Do you really have to put a lot of power into tugging the mains?
heyzzz..i don't realli pre-weave @ all..just for the mains the first 7 if im using a package..n crosses just string 2 lines tension 1.. =) i dun realli believe in pre-weaving too much (especially the whole racket) cuz that can cause friction to strings n causes them to break a lil faster~.. n...i use 2 piece..cuz yonex canada here recommends u to use 2 piece or else it if the customer snaps the racket in however way they can it yonex most of the time will void 1 piece string jobs
