I created a blog post in the blog forum but I'm too vain to let it go unread, so i'm reposting it here. ; )

Badminton Doesn't Forgive

This morning I played badminton for the first time after a two-year hiatus.
My muscles are aching like made now.


I once read a quote where the mother wanted to advise her daughter to always read the Holy book. “If you leave it for 3 days, it will leave you for 3 years”, she said.


In my case, because I left badminton for 2 years, Badminton has left me for 20 years.

I was huffing and puffing the entire game, which wasn’t even more than 15 mins.
My hands were shaking and my nose was running because I was cold. (forgot to bring the mandatory towel) Seriously, I looked like an addict with withdrawal symptoms.

I had expected to play poorly, I had foreseen

• not hitting the right spot,
• not passing the net,
• crossing the border,
• even crossing other people court

But I never expect I could be so bad to the point where my racket didn’t even touch the shuttle!
Not even the sound of ‘ding’ when I swing my racket? Wow, the only ‘ding’ I heard was the sound of my ego falling flat on the floor.

However, never for a moment I question my choice of going to play this morning.(yes,it was difficult to wake up) Badminton is angry with me now, but like all other relationships - we will be better.
With the best remedy that cures all relationships

1. time
2. and money. ( come on, do I need to explain here?)

Come play more often la, as would get to know more new friends. Old buddies san band jor, duno where they disappear.

I think barely anyone could recognize, maybe I would if happen bump into session & bongkar your ID den, muahahah ! jk....jk....

 

Dont worry cendolabc, my lips are sealed....but anyway, you played very for someone who's hasnt been touching the racket for 2 years........pls do come out of your semi retirement and start playing again........
