Good to see Misaki/ Ayaka pick up their first SS title. They play more like an XD pair than conventional doubles pair. I'm surprised their opponents dont try keeping Misaki at the back of the court more.
I thought Ayaka really might have hurt herself during that fall in the back court. Good to see she is alright.

Misaki Matsutomo playing well at SS tournaments is just unbelievable . I have met up with many international players over past many years. Some are tall and muscular; Some are short and tiny. You need to know how short/tiny a stature Misaki Matsutomo is; For her to play well at SS tournaments is just unbelievable. Yes, credit has to be given to Ayaka Takahashi, as well. Ayaka Takahashi, being big, tall and strong, is definitely a psychological compensation for their overall partnership combination. It's now known that they are sending this message worldwide: "Hey, we are a well-balanced partnership; Try to beat us if you can" .

Very interesting video! Although I don't know Japanese. The one particular part that caught my attention is how they have studied the Chinese WD pairs, exposed their weaknesses and applied right tactics to win points.
