Good to see Misaki/ Ayaka pick up their first SS title.

They play more like an XD pair than conventional doubles pair.

I'm surprised their opponents dont try keeping Misaki at the back of the court more.

I thought Ayaka really might have hurt herself during that fall in the back court. Good to see she is alright.

They didn't good in attacking until the uber cup. It seem like they are not the same pair anymore. They are improve a lot.

PS. Should we create a thread for the pair? Ayaka deserve a credit too. :)

Just read an article about JO final in Badzine, there is a little interview from them. They are aiming for the OG gold medal. ;) Wow,without WXL/YY, China should be worried about them.

Misaki Matsutomo playing well at SS tournaments is just unbelievable

    .
I have met up with many international players over past many years. Some are tall and muscular; Some are short and tiny.

You need to know how short/tiny a stature Misaki Matsutomo is; For her to play well at SS tournaments is just unbelievable.

Yes, credit has to be given to Ayaka Takahashi, as well. Ayaka Takahashi, being big, tall and strong, is definitely a psychological compensation for their overall partnership combination.

It's now known that they are sending this message worldwide: "Hey, we are a well-balanced partnership; Try to beat us if you can" :):):)

She has a pass for the early exit at IO. Winning her first SS title is quite enough. She should focus on the preparation for the WC now. It's good to see this pair finally awaken from the funk and put their talent into good use.

Anyone know where to get the Wilson Fierce 2 BLX online? Seems like a very rare racket!

    .
Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi are seeded No.3 at this year's (2014) WC. They are ranked higher than last year’s winners, Yu Yang/Wang Xiaoli of China.

Will Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi get to reach the last 4 pairs at this WC? They are thinking so. :):):)

Very interesting video! Although I don't know Japanese. The one particular part that caught my attention is how they have studied the Chinese WD pairs, exposed their weaknesses and applied right tactics to win points.

WD partner for 9 years? Didn't Misaki win the silver medal in world junior WS before switching to WD?
