I've seen a few videos on you tube of this young player. Definitely got potential. Got some good winners and is generally quick around the court with decent defence. Like every one who has seen him, he definitely needs to be fitter and a little faster. But most of all he needs the belief. He has the ability to win. Just got to train hard and be more consistent ^_^

Hopefully he'll be able to achieve major honours in the coming years...

    :)

    Ha Ha...

Based on Sing Chew newspaper, Arif almost cannot enter Macau as he was held custody for suspecting drug trafficing... fortunately he was set free and allow to check in to Macau for Thomas Cup play...

IMO, If he plays or anyone plays, nothing to loose because it boils to the form of the day. ;) Perfection is required. No venture, no gain. ;) Datuk should be with the coach during breaks to psych them up a little. Give them encouragement during the 11 point breaks. It can help mentally. This is what leadership, captainship and team spirit is all about. ;)

Also again, if YLL can do it, why can't others? ;) It just take a little spark to burn the house down. ;)

Consistency in winning every tournament is not easy, but.... miracles do happens. ;)

Wei Feng is doing great in AE. He just defeated Pablo Abian. So Ariff should not complain that much about being dropped (although it's a bit unfair) coz BAM will love to have the opportunity to say "I TOLD YOU SO" to his face. Just focus on Swiss Open.

Looks like the decision to drop Arif and promote CWF to the qualifying tournament was worth it as CWF earned a second round ticket to fight Lin Dan before going home. I'm not saying that Arif couldn't do the same but Arif certainly did not show any motivation in the TUC qualifying rounds unlike Liew Daren (which he compared himself to). If you want your place, show that you want it by your performance on the court, not just empty talk!

Arif is not going Swiss but Aust. In a sense I agree with James S. ,better Arif prove himself in the tournaments that he gets to go instead of saying unfair. The other reason media speculate is CWF,Daren are to spar with LCW during AE,CWF is left hander

Dropped from AE means Swiss also he's not going. Just checked, CWF's name not in list for Swiss, they didnt enter him in the beginning, Arif was withdrawn from the entry list on Feb 25

Thx 4 the info. In the meantime, CWF is getting much needed exposure for playing with LD.

How is Arif doing at home? Training hard or skipping training? Let's hope he can take inspiration from Daren's performances in Europe, as he had said that it was unfair for Daren to go to Europe while he is dropped even though they lost all their matches in the TC qualifying.
