Both the quality of the SHB-85LTD and SHB-65CF are about the same. However, the SHB-85EX's quality is inferior.

The SHB-102 series are the high-end of the 2011 range but I feel the quality is not comparable to the previous high-end shoes such as the the 101 series. In terms of price, the 102MX is about 20% lower than the 102LTD.

Without power cushion would be the low-end, poor quality Ultima or World Champ series. Don't waste your money with these sub-standard shoes. You will come to regret it. Rather invest in a pair of good quality shoe with the proper fit and support.

    hi all ,
i switched from an ultima series ( shb 100 copy) to a shb 85 recently..
I found the shoe rather heavy slowing down my speed in the game although my jumps are more comfortable..
is the additional mass due to the power cushion or was it due to me moving up half a size?
    thanks :D

I have been using my SHB-85 LTD red/black for over a year now and I have no issues with them. Everything is fine with no tear but only slightly worn soles. But then, I do take care of my shoes and never wear them anywhere except on court which I put them on and off there. I don't have any problems with any weight or mobility issues. Cushioning, support and stability is good but I find the 101LTD better there.

The new SHB-85 Ltd is part of the Yonex 2011 World Championships collection. I would expect quite a few Indonesian players wear the red version and the Indian players wear the blue version.

Looks nice. For those who can't afford the price, just go for those like proace 'power cushion' type. Only about 70sgd which is about 150rm. ;)

    Guys,
But i found out that the new SHB 85LTD cushioning for the side top ankle(the 2 bones) is ROUGH and not like the SHB 85 which has smooth & nice cushioning like Victor SH8600. How come...down grade version but fancy clr just for the gimmick prior to WC 2011 next week fever?

i think the ultima 80 is the cheaper copy of the SHB 85. actually bought one last week for 47usd. it came with yonex prosock insole which is thick and does provide more cushioning. i also compared it with an SHB 101 and the insole is harder than the ultima 80. from what i'v read SHB 101 with power cushion would be better in shock absorption than the ultima (obviously :D ) so i reckon it's not only the insole that's provides cushioning but it's more on the midsole. am i right here? sorry for a little bit of OT... :)

I am using the SHB-85LTD and I find the cushioning at the ankle is good. The cut is slightly higher than the 101LTD and to some individuals, this might be a good thing. I heard of a complaint that the SHB-85 heels are higher comparatively and the wearer suffered a twisted ankle as a result. Could probably be the issue of his footwork instead. For me, it was just fine and I had no such problem.

The SHB 85 LTD WC edition, and I assume the SHB 85-range, is so comfortable. My feet seem to move inside the shoe as I play. My feet do not feel secure and supported by the shoe.

I was disappointed with the fitting.
