since the expense has been accounted for, will you dissect part of the shaft to do a post mortem of it as well? a Sotx high end Woven racket like Woven 16 might just have a full woven construction throughout.
Coondolence for the death of a racquet.:crying: Do we hear a shift of allegiance to the mighty Voltric 80?
I think alana's guess fo the W16 is probably the most likely to be right, but if the W16 (~$200 last time I looked) is only surface woven then imagine how much a full woven racket would run... The Panda Revelation would be my other contender, but I haven't cut through one to check.
Coincidence? I think not Kwun, my MX80 broke in exactly the same place but not by clash but by mishitting a smash. I think it might be a manufacturing fault. :-(
what's your string and tension? if it's tight enough, a mishit shuttle there on a smash can be catastrophic
no. just replaced the one i broke back in September. i was distracted with many other rackets but now i am back to my true love after 6 months.
Yeah, once you find the racket that fits you, that is it. It's hard to seperate after that, especially if you play with it for a while. I have the same problem with the SW35, I can't put it down, even once when I burst the strifs on all of them and was too lazy to fix them, for a month or two, when I came back to it, everything just felt right. I have a feeling that I will be more upset if I break the two I have remaining, than if I broke all of my other rackets. hope that day doesn't happen
sorry for the confusion. the first sentence is a bit dated. supposed to be from 6 months ago. the second sentence is as of today. and now sitting on the machine to be strung. with the proper Victor pattern. let's see how that goes...
Can you please post a pic of the freshly strung racket with the proper Victor pattern. I'm getting conflicting opinions on how it should be strung Thanks mb
i am going to attempt a video. let's see how this goes with a brand new racket, brand new machine, brand new string, and brand new pattern. a recipe for disaster don't you think? and probably means it should be on video...
OMG. that was a lot of work. esp with trying to coordinate the video. video will have to be put together and then later on uploaded. i will try to skip through the boring parts.
