Has anyone tried the 4U version of this racket? I wonder to upgrade to this from my Bravesword LYD... Just worried that maybe the 4U version might make me lose power if I have to put in more effort than my LYD.

I tried 4U version last night and was very impressed. In fact I liked it so much this racket will stay in my bag. Strung at 27lbs in VS800 - it was fantastic!

Oh, how does it compare with the Victor Thurster 8000? thinking to choose from two for my doubles games.

It's a faster frame, not quite as head heavy and we a stiffer shaft. Off the mark the MX90 doesn't need the same wind up as 8000. It may not quite be as powerful as 8000 but still a very strong solid hit. It's faster in short movement shots and including defence.

Victors official stringing pattern is one piece. However at All Englands we strung in two piece bottom up.

It was. I thought they changed it to 2 piece, top down?

I have to question whether this old stringing pattern is old as I've never seen it. Generally the last main string is B10 and not B13.

I have three stringing patterns sent to me last year and they were all one piece.

At the end of the day, we know what works and in my opinion only extremely poor stringing patterns should invalidate warranty.

Should there be any newer stringing pattern to be recommended for V racket, then V should have updated their website. :)

Wow - they've managed to make the default pattern even WORSE with those gargantuan tie-off loops on the mains.

I think Victor should ditch this one altogether, tbh - more trouble than it's worth, IMO; Paul and I had six loops of scrap string hanging out of the Meteors by the end of the week because we just couldn't get the crosses in any other way.

If I already have a Lining racket (TP100C) with the spec 84g / 300mm / stiff, is it close to the spec of 4u MX90? Thanks if anyone could answer.

Yes it is close. The MX 90 should be a few mom heavier though. Probably might feel stiffer.
