If retired players are valid, then Ge Fei and Gao Ling are way, way up on the list. Ra Kyung-Min would be very close behind.

As far as I can recall, no other woman's doubles/mixed players have come close to what these 3 ladies have achieved in their careers.

Current players ? It still has to be seen when they come closer to retirement in their careers.

Did you notice that everytime Gao Ling had to face Gail Emms, she had her game face on? ... As opposed to other mixed pairs wherein she usually were relaxed and smiled a lot.

As I said, GL was really scared of GE.

GE has a career record of 5-8 against GL, not bad as she was up against Gao Ling, the

    2 x Olympics Champion,
    8 x World Champion,
    11 x All England Champion,
    6 x Uber/Sudirman Cup Champion,
4 x Asian Champion and a few other open titles.

For the record, for GE’s 5 wins against GL none of them were in a major tournament with the exception of the early round in 2008 OG against GL/GB, the last tournament before her retirement.

Yes. I was able to watch that. Both Gao Ling and Gail Emms were amazing. But nerves took over Zheng Bo, thus resulted to the Chinese pair's loss.

There must be too much pressure for Jenny Wallwork to put herself in Emms's shoes. Too bad Jenny's not much of a natural front player. Yes, I can see her aggresive net play, but she lacks Gail's sharpness. I think Jenny would prosper more on WD than XD.
