Wrong thread, giggle. Do a new FS thread in the B&S forum... please follow the forum guidelines on this.
These new ultra fast and light rackets (Yonex Adobe Flash Boost and Carlton Kinesis) have ultra thin frames that will break easily. They don't take mishits too well...
Two 6U are broken. One after the clash, the other after the smash. First one was repeared but crashed after the smash again. Too fragile for me. No more experiments)
Got A 5U today. First impression is good. Though with a longer shaft, the accuracy is still excellent, not much drag from the ARC frame, vibration feedback is much smaller than I would expect. I'm currently using 27lbs BG80 Power, same as my other rackets. I feel I might be able to go 2lbs higher with FB. I'll try this racket out for several games.
yep, that's what i noted on the wc final thread too... more interest will be generated on this racket than the soon to be released nr z speed...
yea, agree! planning to get one of it by next weekend because one of my wilson 5U rackets was cracked
But be forewarned though, this FB racket is also known as FastBreak and doesn't seem to survive clashes as well...
Hey everyone For users of the FB what is the best string for it to with strung with? I have read the whole thread and seen a variety being used - BG66UM, BG80P, Zymax 62 etc. Any recommendations?
Ahsan & Setiawan had a racket clash during the final match. haha. I quickly tried to take a look at his racket and see if it broke. But it survived! haha
For yonex rackets, yes. For other brands, no. Karakal BN60 at 60g ( dry weight) is 7U. Iirc, apace has a few 7U rackets as well.
Personally, I have used zymax65 and BG66UM in my FB, all at 24lbs. Zymax gets my vote. BG66UM is great initially, but feels 'dead' after 3 days/ 6 hours worth of play.
Thanks Shinichi and Darth vader for the responses. Considering getting the FB myself and was wondering what to string with when I do.
I'm with you on that one. I have experienced 2 FB breakages, and I am sure there is no way the typical 6U ARC FB can survive that kind of impact unscathed.
