The new shirts are terrible! they must be so uncomfortable when they get to this stage i.e (SOAKED) lol http://sports.sohu.com/20090512/n263921929.shtml coudnlt seem to put the picture on here. Btw whats lin Dans racket?
Each and every single average to good looking girls and ladies in my badminton clubs are getting a pure white Li Ning badminton shirt as a gift from bananakid. Now, that is a good investment. haha...
do li ning even make shuttles?? and i dont think yonex shuttles will be going down at all if anything they will just keep bringing out new shuttles like aeroclub to fill the cheaper range out to compete and stick with the much better shuttles further up the price with as30,40,50 there is a considerable diffference
Hmm.... Quality Control wise, I think the Japanese does a better job. I'm not diss-ing Li-Ning saying their products are bad, I'm a Chinese myself and I'm proud that Li-Ning is getting recognized in China, but I have questions regarding their quality control. You see, when a new product first comes out like Li-Ning with their high end racquets, it is usually good with quality as they want people to believe their brand is good and their quality is also comparable with Yonex's. But over time, once Li-Ning has achieve their marketing goal, the quality may not be as good as it was first being promoted. Yonex was and is still able to produce consistant quality products over the past decades, but I don't know about Li-Ning. Also to know is that Chinese companies or manufacturing corporations tend to have different production factories for the general public, and the more important people, as seen in the "Milk" incident in China.
They have strings too? I didn't see any info on their main website... Are they being sold? Also, some of you may think the shirts that China Team was wearing are bad. Actually, I think the shirts is just too absorbent but unable to vaporize the sweat fast enough, as seen with Lin Dan's shirt. It's like he had a shower or something....haha....
i recently went to watch the semifinal, china vs malaysia.. i also visited the li ning shop and asked them why their shirts appeared to be like that, she said that what we see is not what they feel, the sweat rises to the surface of the shirts instead of dripping down and so inside, the players actually do not feel anything.. that is the strong point, only weakness is that we, the audience can see it being v. wet.. besides, they've done a lot of testing to make it the best for the players..
actually i'm quite curious about this though. actually what string li ning has? or li ning actually does not have badminton string?
Shirts that do not show perspiration are uncomfortable to the wearer. It is the perspiration that the skin must feel for the cooling effect, but the devil is to ensure the perspiration does not drip down all over the floor. You need water (perspiration) and air (from players' movement) for that air-conditioning feeling. Apparently, Li Ning has been able to do this, perhaps courtesy from their R&D company based in Hong Kong with input from the Sports Academy of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I believe Li Ning has another series of sports shirts that emit certain scents to inspire the players mental faculties for calmness-a type of sports aromatherapy. Li Ning's R&D is going into uncharted territories in the sports field. It will be interesting to wait and see what comes out.
I saw some at their shop...But it was wayy too pricey...I think their outside games were also using Li-Ning shuttles...if that was the case...they were very very light...or it's just me...cause i'm used to 78s since playing in Canada...and in China they use 76s and 77s...and it was outside...so wind...i didn't like it ahaha... Li-Ning had strings...I was tempted to try some, but last time i did something like that, i didn't like it and i had to waste my money cutting the strings and going back to yonex I asked the salesperson at the shop, and they said they have similar qualities as BG65s and BG80s...
