Oh, finally a smash, so boring. I used to be impressed by her but not anymore when I see her often stranded by her opponent's smashes and her own inability to do the same, even when the situation demands it.

Yeah, that shows great defense, how about counter-attacking? Is she capable of turning defence into attack, better still play a more attacking game in the first place, instead of always at the receiving end of the attacks. She should learn from her compatriots, notably Wang Xin who is one of the very few women players who can attack like a male player, delightful.

Fully agree, Wang Yihan ver 2.0 is surely the better of the two! If not the best at present!! WSX style is a rather boring one :p

I like how Lin Dan starts trying when he is 3 points away from being eliminated.

As usual, Lin Dan nowadays would just move the shuttle around and hope to win by sheer respect without upping the tempo or injecting pace unless forced to, esp when he meets difficult opponents like Lee CW , Peter Gade or Sho Sasaki.

IMO among the current three Wang, WSX playing style is the least attacking; hence, she's the weakest and the least fascinating to watch as well!

Right, Wang YH ver 2.0 (minus her inconsistency and nerves) is potentially the best player in the world. And Wang Xin too, her attacking game is simply wonderful to watch!

Saina won by a whisker in the 3rd set 27-25! Seems like any of the top 10 player cannot be expected to win comfortably against any much lower-ranked opponent nowadays, with few exceptions.

8 consecutive points for Chris Adcock with his partner (not Bankier, it's MD now :) ) to win first game over JPN pair
    from 14-20 to 22-20..
and in 2nd set now ENG pair leads comfortably 7-2

OMG, Kindra lost tamely to 3rd or 4th CHN pair :(
they even still did not reach QF

it would not be too surprised that defending OG champions will not qualify for next OG :(
