    Maria was covered in Kompas today. She went to Kudus this week for 1 day in order to take part in the filming of KING, a movie about badminton... Maria will have a cameo appearance there...

    Apparently, no.
    From what I've heard, the story is about a kid who dreams to follow Liem Swie King's path of glory.
    Some athletes/ex-athletes will appear as cameo, e.g Haryanto Arbi, Maria, and King himself (I'm not sure about the latter).

    Really looking forward to it.
    The production house is the same one that made Laskar Pelangi, a box office hit in Indonesia.:)

    ..the movie is all about Liem Swie King, right??..But Maria wasn't even born yet when he ruled the rubber courts..I wonder what role will she portray??..hmm:confused:

    i just hope she dont injured herself at the filming..i mean the career as badminton player is more important than being a actress in one film..

    And "King" movie which will be released on June 2009 coincides with the month of School Holiday and INA Open SS. This film is expected can motivate young peoples to realize their dream becoming badminton player.
