Heryanto Arbi, no doubt. so many witnessess. unfortunately, jump smash was all that he had. i wish he was a more complete player to be among the greats.

LCW had a smash of 331km i heard. I saw Rexy play an exhibition against Ardy Wiranata a couple years ago. Rexy did a jumping backhand smash and won the point... I'll never forget it. So ridiculously hard! Halim was there as well, he is so acrobatic in the air. If he smashes and they return it cross court he pretty much jumped from halfway along the baseline, turned his weight midair, hit a fullon jump smash at about 2 and a half feet in the air and landed still in the court! Looked soo cool. He could have been a gymnast tumbler or wushu master!

Taufik for me. it looks like that shot is feared. his jump smash is very aesthetically pleasing and versatile IMO. Taufik must have it timed properly tho.

I think he should mention from where (forecourt, midcourt, backcourt) did
Rexy do the backhand jump smash... If it is from midcourt (i.e., not from
somewhere like the double's baselines), I think I have seen Taufik once
did it. Also in the 85 AE final, Zhao Jianhua jump backhand smashed from
    somewhere midcourt.

I thought you meant name a powerful female player

I've seen Deyana Lomban play here in the US, she's a very good player. Didn't see her pull out the jump smash though. she's beautiful too!

I was watching one match, it was Fu/Cai vs KDM/LDS and Fu Haifengs smashes were not only explosive, and fast, but he leaped into them from unbelievable positions.

After watching quite a few of Lin Dan's games, I agree, LD has probably the most effective smash. It's not the fastest nor most powerful but it's extremely effective.

FHF may have the most fastest smash but LD's is more effective.
