I was in this shop waiting for my racket to be strung, and 1 person ask for a quote on AT700 and he was quoted $10 more than what the shop quote me before he came (30mins difference), the shops like to jack up the price so must bargain abit, maybe you can try gala or the 3 storey store (chua beng something) in queensway if you stay near west.
i think regarding racket prices, everyone must understand that within the last 2 months, prices have gone up. Doesn't necessarily mean that the same racket will be cheaper now than say in December 2007, just because it a bit older.
that is already the 2nd batch Soh ordered. his first batch of 5 rackets was sold out in less than a week. so he ordered another 12, i think. sell 9-10 rackets a month, esp high end models is definitely unheard of in times like these
classic sport AT700 new 3UG5 - S$205 , (any string, bag) 10n10 (over heard this prices when some 1 was asking) AT700 new -S$210-S$220, (any string, bag) Ti-10 new -S$180 Mp99 LE -S$200 AT900P 3UG4-S$260-S$265 (cant remember) can bargain
You regular at the shop? I think they see ppl then quote, i sitting near the yonex clothes waiting for my racket then some 1 walk-in customer was asking the prices
i'm not a regular. but i think maybe because of my "pai-kia" look which says "don't try to chop me or I'll **** your shop" somehow i manage to get reasonable prices everywhere
