CCCers can remove their bookings without fines . Some CCCers have said that we are too tough on our players - Once booked in, we have to pay. Don't forget: CCCers can remove their bookings (without fines) if done more than 24 hours before our session starts. .

Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 10-Nov-2013 (A Short Report) . Here is a short report for our Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 10-Nov-2013. We thank trainees for removing themselves from our 'Booking List' when unable to attend; therefore opening up vacancies for new trainees wishing to join us. Reminder : If you are unable to attend, kindly remove your name ASAP so that others can replace you, otherwise you will be fined. Why? And MSAC charges the court fees if we cancel our courts within 24 hours before our session starts. At this session, we worked on the 'Doubles Players' Positions'. Some points to remember : * The 'FAB' position is the attacking position. It is not effective as a defending position. * The 'SQUARE' is the defending position. The front player needs to retreat (more time to see the coming smash). * For the 'FAB' position : 1. Know your bases. 2. Front player guards the 'FC'. 3. Back player guards the 'MC' and 'BTL'. 4. When your partner is forced to the back, you need to move to the front. 5. When the shuttlecock is high up between the 2 players, it is better for the player moving forward to hit it. * For the 'SQUARE' position : 1. Know your bases. 2. Decide before the game, who will guard the 'FT'. 3. Decide before the game, who will guard the 'BT'. 4. Which side to square? The front player decides. 5. When the shuttlecock is high up between the 2 players, it is better for the player with the forehand stroke to hit it. * etc, etc, ...... If trainees are still not understanding the lesson taught, please ask me questions next session (to give you info/demo that you require). Comments on our 5 attending trainees: * Chong-S needs more training on how to move backwards (Footwork). * Timothy-T is doing well. He is very alert and is quick to get into the correct positions. * Janice-S often forgets to square after a clear (whether from overhead or underarm). * Mario-P sometimes forgets to move to the front when his partner is forced to the back. * Owen-L's base for his back 'FAB' position is often too far back; therefore he is unable to cover shots just passing the 'SL'. Last participant to enter Albert Park at Lakeside Drive and Fitzroy St (4km mark) - 9:15am. 2. Participants will be moved to the Lakeside Path between 7.5km-9.5km if they do not reach Aughtie Drive (7.5km mark) by 9:48am. 3. Last participant to exit Albert Park on to Fitzroy St (10km mark) - 10:30am. .
