from witnessing others clash their rackets, it see that they are more fragile than they used to be 20 years ago, i am only speaking in terms of the yonex rackets i've seen that are broken.
oops, i just had it strung for tonight's session, but i have another one coming on the 19th when my mixed partner comes back, i can do that then unless someone have one lying around unstrung. i will repost again with measurements on the 20th.
I don't find any problem with it. And I don't see KKK or TBH or Goh Liu Ying or Kamila Rytter Juhl have any problem with their Z speed. And they still get to win lots of games. And they are all double players using a 3 U with drives, net touch shots, blocks, flat lift and backhand.
Other than Juhl, none of the others have won anything in the last 12 months with their rackets, so not a good testament. Whereas FB (Ahsan, Inthanon, Mogensen) has done much much better.
Well I find Z speed a good racket, but definitely not the best I will say. It is not as comfortable as arc 11 and Z Force. I think most players buy their rackets they feel it is comfortable with. And with rackets like arc 11 great soft feel, and Z force solid no vibration touch to compare with, i think Z speed definitely doesn't stand a chance in touch and feeling. In competitions, the most yonex rackets I see now will be Z-force, VT80, arc 11, arc 10 and Z-slash (singles), and works much the same way in doubles. I played with all these rackets before, and the touch are the best. Maybe because of the great "touch", it just physically influence players thinking that they are playing well with then using other rackets. I mean at advance or intermediate level, almost everyone can do all kinds of shots. With any kinds of racket they kind play all kinds of shots without any difficulty. I am sure they can still play baseline clears with arc FB. Just that it might not be comfortable.
They didn't win any tournament. doesn't mean they didn't win any match. They still can advance far. So applying your logic, KKK TBH used to use Z-force, a very GOOD and POPULAR racket, but still didn't won a single title. What matters is not the racket. It is the ability they have. I am sure Juhl can still switch racket and win titles.
I would say it doesn't mean anything. IMO: 1) are the z speeds the pros use the same as what can be bought off the shelves? 2) Pros, even advanced players, can adapt to any racket you give them in a matter of a few minutes. It just then boils down to which they prefer, and not so much that one model will make them play better than the other.
Tis racket aint tat bad juz is not for everyone taste There are better options out there which has easier learning curve Been using mine ever since is out ... only thing observed, string compatibility is important hahaha
yes i would like to hear your opinion as well, wondered if i had strung mine with the "wrong" string....jk
Mine was strung with Li Ning NS-30 prior to Adipower Pro now (same tension). The feeling is so much different. Gonna try NBG 98 next
Depends on your style of play. Both for me were ok but I preferred the FB. But that being said, I am not that good of a player to tell racquets apart.
N98 feels good on the racket, though it's still early days coz I just had a session with the new strings. Probably it will be easier to see how it feels after a few more sessions of "breaking in."
