Yup, Lee CW has the habit of letting the shot drop very near the baseline hoping it will be out but more often than not it landed in.
As noted by some of you and I share the same view, WYH is always at her best against her compatriots, beating WSX again. She will be squaring off with IR tomorrow whom I believe is happier facing WYH than WSX for the latter seems to understand her game a bit too well.
I agree but maybe LCW just wants to get ore practice time on court? None of the other Malaysian players can give him the sparring practice.
Right, it looked just out to me, the shuttle barely missing the outside line. Maybe the referee's discretion is to call it in if he's unsure. Another thing is what's shown on TV isn't the same camera as those used in the review which would have different cameras showing the shot from other angles, I supposed. For sure, the system as it is at present has its flaws and limitations. Let's hope over time, improved cutting-edge technology can overcome it, leaving less discretion to the referee or ,better still, makes the call automatically , taking the referee out of the picture altogether.
Going by the score, it seems Fu Haifeng/Hong Wei demolished Adcock/Ellis in two straight sets, 21-11,21-9 in 34 minutes of play. Could FHF/HW be the answer to CHN MD's resurgence ? I don't want to speak too soon; let's wait and see tomorrow when they face either the Danish or Japanese pair.
Glad I'm not the only person who thinks this Talking of English, that was disappointing from Adcock/ Ellis. From going 0-7 down at the start of the first game they never really got into it, always a step behind. Really thought it would be closer.
Finally Hong Wei/Fu Haifeng will be in the final. Chen Long Play to expectation Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei also play well. Wang Yi han in the final. Great , all 4 events china went into the finals. 1 disappointment for men's double is Lee Yong dae and mix double Nasir /Ahmad did not make it
Agree. Ratchnok's game is more effective against LXR, WYH, and then WSX in that order. Needless to say she need to be consistently competitive against these 3 Chinese phenoms, if she were to be number 1 and Olympic champion. Then one has to add Korean Sung, Taipei TTY, and (in the near future) Yamaguchi.
Don't forget Bao YX/Tang JH whose amazing run continues, also progressing to the final for the umpteenth time in SS/GPGs winning most of them. And the other up-and-coming WD pair from CHN to watch is the twin Luo sisters who won the INA GPG last Sep'13 and now gunning for their first SS title tomorrow for which they would have to overcome their compatriots Bao/Tang. En route to the final, Luo Ying/Luo Yu disposed of all their opponents in two straight sets, including the JPN 2nd seed, Misaki/Ayaka. Will CHN make a clean sweep tomorrow ? We shall see.
For the first time ever, there will be no Korean, Indonesian, or Japanese on Sunday at the Korea Open.
