15.95 is USD. tai lai is durable but the flight dies out as u play. yang yang is less durable than tai lai, but i'd say the flight is pretty good. some gives and takes. that's my experience with them... dunno about new batch, u can try one tube each and let us know about new batches =P

oh...i based all these reviews off the fact that i didn't bother steaming shuttles... i'm sure if u steam the yang yang... it would end up being slightly more durable, therefore more worth the money.

Well I like yonex (nylon and feather) but I really cannot stand the carlton nylon shuttles. They fly so far and are not durable at all !
Just thought I would say this :p :D

Well If you don't think of the price, of course yonex is good. similar to the Yonex rackets, Never forcus on the lower end series yonex.

Sealion is not too bad but personally don't really like it (maybe the logo) ahah

Areoplant is a good shuttlecocks but also the price is the problem.

RSL, I highly recomemed the No.1, 2 , 3 or Classic. don't go for anything lower than No.5. unless you are playing in your backyard.

Actually, Aeroplane is not too expensive.

Black label - $22 - 24 per tube - lasts more than one game, even 2 games
    Red label - $20 - 22 per tube - lasts one game
green label - $17.5 - 19.5 per tube - last close to one game
    blue label - $14 - 16 per tube.

i think hangyu silver No. 2 is the best value for money shuttlecock. it costs around 5 us dollar a dozen, it last a good doubles game. the flight is excellent too. i also recommend kaiweisi green pro, its very neat, at around 8 us dollar.

of course aeroplane is really good if money is not a problem :D

    hydration

surprised no one has yet mentioned one of the most important points for durability: hydrating the shuttles before each use. I started doing this several months ago, using the directions given at the Badminton Alley site. It makes a huge difference in how long a feather shuttlecock lasts, which is important no matter what their rating or price.

Do most of you hydrate your birdies?

I also notice that Wilson Professional Tournament shuttle tube comes with a hydrating cap reusable on any shuttle tube. I might buy one tube of those, not just to see how good they are, but to get that hydrating cap!

the hydrating cap is ok... nothing special. i think leaving ur shuttles in the bathroom when you take a hot shower and then capping it up after is still better hydration than the cap =P

    Thanks for your input!
The brand sounds good from your account. Have got a leisure game this friday, and it's retailing at 20cents per shuttlecock cheaper than AS10! =^)

Dont buy the AS10, very poor durability, a few smash and the feathers start breaking off and the shuttle will have irregular flight pattern... its expensive for its durability...

I'm avoiding yonex shuttles now, recently bought a tube of AS40 and the shuttles durability had gone down, remembered AS40 was much more durable and had a more solid/heavier feel... it seem to have change hmmm...

So far in my experience, I've come to like Victor Blues, Chester, and RSL Classic birds. Their durability and flight path are among the best.

My second choices other than those would be Hi-Qua blue, Aeroplane, and Wilson Tournament birds. The Hi-Qua and Wilson ones fly a bit further (Wilson ones especially), but if you slow them down, thier durability is not bad either. Aeroplane is sometimes slow for me, but still fairly decent.

Currently I'm using RSL tourneys and Victor Blues. I only got RSL tourneys because I bought in bulk w/ a friend. So we have 25 tubes of birds sitting around, lol.

As for what to avoid, I dislike Victor Gold and Yonex AS-10. Particularly Victor Gold, because they really lack durability and die really fast. And the flight path is somewhat slow.

Yonex always had the best durability! Try the Yonex A-30. Trust me, when you steam them... they can last for one or two good doubles games. Or try SOTX 202... great quality. and yes VICTOR and RSL are really good brands as well. Also, the Canadian brand Black Knight is good too!~ Try it!
