Change of plans most people are driving up on Sunday. In any case I will be in overseas until 8am Sunday morning (the tournament day). I doubt I will be in any shape to play. So this year I will give you are chance to get a trophy as I won't be attending.

Courts are OK, light OK, tap water really really bad, get sick everytime i dink it yet you would think i would stop drinking it wouldnt you :D

Theres 3 courts, games are fixtured, so not just running on the court or staying on endlessly :) ..

.. Standard OK beginners -> A grade, no one there really Open grade or Sam standard... Duc and Tommy plays there.

Organiser does a good job mixing the games up.

And the best thing of all its only 15min from home for me :)

I've seen Duc there reguarly every saturday, he still looks and act the same .. and still doing his drop shots :)

Ceiling are probably as high as Glen Waverley .. but on court 3 the basketball ring slightly over it.

They use both Epsolon Yellow and RSL tournament, i dont like the Eps Yellow .. their too fast, but unfortunately thats what we have to use in the WSBA comp.

All the girls their are what you would classify as jail bait .. so keep Carl away :p

man have got baby induced injury:crying:

Carrying around a 15kg baby on my badminton wrist is not doing it any favours, I played one hard game and then a few easy ones and my wrist felt really sore and no power to smash or anything except drop and lob:(

So we all just driving up Sunday morning eh?

Sonny and Eric told me that we are playing B grade doubles (Vien) in the draw??? I thought we put down A grade again? Do you know what happened?

How is your achilles doing? You only have a week to recover man!

I originally entered us in B double, but then sent them an email asking to move us up to A grade when i found out that too many Titans was playing in B .. but now that most arnt coming it might work out for the better :)
A grade double this year looks harder than last year .. and with both you and me unable to run we would have had no chance :D
The achilles is OK, its on the improve .. but i think i just did my calf tonight ice skating at the icehouse :p ... I'm not having a good run this year so far :crying:

And yes it looks like we'll have to drive up sunday morning this year .. if you want you and the family can come over and sleep in the guess room .. my place is an hour closer to Ballarat then yours.

haha, ok B grade, Eric said he would complain to organisers about us being in B grade hehe - can't please all of the ppl all of the time eh, next time just pick Open and nobody will complain about us:D

Ok, thanks man, sounds good idea, I didn't really want to drive 2+ hours to tournament, even 10 years ago when I use to drive from Bendigo to Melbourne for a tournament, the nearly 2 hour drive just not moving legs made it really hard to begin jumping around the court, so imagine now what that would do (bring out the walking stick for the first match) At least you get the mixed to warm up right?

If we enter Open, the open graders will complain that we're too weak or dont take it seriously :)

Doesnt look like we'll be playing mix this year, theres a shortage of female players. Can we car pool up, you can drive this year :)

I recon Ballarat will be the barometer for the rest of the badminton session .. walk away with a trophy or 2 and the year will look brighter for the badminton holy grail .. 10 trophies in a calendar year :D

Hey i just check out the ballarat tournament fixture online ....

A Mix is the most interesting, it has the most entries by miles 19 teams.
Most other event only manage 10 average, Men B double only has 8 team.

There ends my 3 year run of B double trophies :)

Entered you and Anthony into A Doubles

Please not that A grade doubles will be played on Saturday
And B grade events will be played on Sunday

grrr yes and with their attitude they said I had to play A singles and A doubles grrr, so not going:mad: I only got runner up in B singles last year, and the year before I played A singles and got thrashed every game. Playing the likes of Ryu and Sheran is no chance at all!

Oh well, happy with my B doubles at Ballarat today:) That makes it 2007 (with Leong), 2008 (with Vincent), 2009 (played A doubles and beaten early on) and 2010 (with Vien) so 3 out of 4 years as B doubles champ at Ballarat - hooray!!!!!!:D

PS - Vien why you so slow put a post of your B doubles and B singles trophies , already been 4 hours since we played! oh yeah, gf I forgot:p

See, I said you'd be sandbagging if you played C grade.

    Congrats!

The Altona Graded Fixture is out ..

    http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/events.aspx?id=F8133B1A-531C-4E5A-8F52-E16D45D3A4E5

Tournament is this easter weekend .. not much recovery time between tournament .. I'm still sore from last weekend.

Even worst, got put in the same pool as Loke Poh in A double ... do any good against him and kiss my chance of getting into B/C in Vic Open and Monash Open good bye :)

Well Easy_Tiger my carnivorous cat stalker .. if you want to know the definition of sandbagging take a look at C double and B double ... cant believe some of the partnership they let in .. and not me and Anthony :p
