    Ok Guys/Gals

I have decided to re-write the page but this time do it properly. It was more of an experiment last time.
I would like any suggestions on what to include in the new "Badminton Places to play" page.

    Things on the cards:
    1) Anybody can Add a Venu and/or Register a Social and this time I will be notified to know one or more is awaiting approval.
    2) Ability to nominate a few more people able to approve Venues/Socials
    3) Locate closest by Postcode (possible if I have enough time)
    4) The other option is the ability for each organiser to login and maintain their own social(s)
e.g. Social is not on this week back on again <blah> etc

Any feedback ideas would be much appreciated.

    CCC Badminton Club

    .
    Thanks b33fy. :):):)

Perhaps I will just give the threads for info about our CCC Badminton Club.

May I request BadmintonCentral members to read the first post (of each of our threads); and then go on to the latest posts (for info about what is currently happening at our CCC sessions).

At CCC, we have Booking Lists for our weekly sessions. Why? Because we wish to :
    (1) To welcome BadmintonCentral members to attend.
    (2) To ensure that players who have booked in would not be turned away.
    (3) To ensure that we have enough games for our players, it is best not to exceed a certain number of participants.

Here are the threads for our CCC weekly sessions :

    * Wednesday CCC Social Games Session at MSAC: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...t-MSAC-(7-30pm-10-30pm)?p=2048023#post2048023

    * Sunday CCC CATS (Coaching and Training Session) at MSAC : http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...SAC-Sun-10-00am-12-00noon?p=433330#post433330

For any questions regarding our CCC sessions, please post to ask in our relevant threads. Why? Because all our CCCers wish to have communication (question/booking/comment/etc, etc...) to be as transparent as possible for all CCCers to read/know. On this matter, here is another thread to read: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...transparent-as-possible?p=1985405#post1985405

I can include a website link for each Social therefore this will allow for viewers to choose to view the website or not.

    Hi Lulus,

No problems but when I mean re-writing the page, I mean re-designing it. Almost start from scratch again but with the focus of making it better for the end user.

I am swaying for organisers like yourself to have a login which will allow u to modify your own details, socials etc.

Will let you know when it is done but still awaiting feedback of features , ideas .. anything

    Thanks

    Brandon

Registered clubs in Australia (All States)

    .
What we would also like to know is :

    * Who are the registered clubs in Australia, and/or
    * Who are just playing as a private group of players.

Many Australian BCers and Badminton Australia would like to know about this.

    Hey Everyone,

Im sorry for neglecting the site and have finally started on a re-make. Im spending a bit more time with improvements. The aim is to appoint 1-2 admins who can help administer the site. As well as the Session Organiser will have a login to which they can manage their own Sessions.

    The new site is

    http://lovemybadminton.com

But it is still under construction so don't use it just yet.

I am also thinking of building a feature that will allow a Session Organiser to submit a list of emails. The site will send out emails to this list with a link to confirm if they are attending the Session or Not. I noticed a few Socials rely on Facebook and other mediums to manage numbers so I am looking at building it.

    Thanks

    Brandon

    Hi Brandon,

Don't know how CCC Badminton Club can use your site. Why? Because we are a coaching club.

But as you know (and you have played with us before), our trainees do play together in social games sessions too (where no coaching is involved).

Stage 1 is about done however it will rely on the public to enter Sessions for Syd, Qld etc so initially it will be empty but hope that more will choose to use.

    .
I like the main objective mentioned:- This group main purpose is to bring people together through badminton.

Why? Because I am still finding some groups practicing 'segregation and discrimination' in their sessions.

I keep telling them:- "If you wish not to invite all BadmintonCentral members to play in your sessions, then don't use BadmintonCentral. Facebook is probably a better place for inviting your players".

We need to look after those 'rejected' BadmintonCentral members.

Hi Chris, yes, i see too many rejected player around, especially the new migrant, or player who is not at the same level of play. Hence, normally I will go around and encourage the players to introduce themselves to other player or I will engage them for a game or 2 to build the friendship. I hope more groups are doing this to promote the game spirits.
