Music from guitars can bring sadness . Temasek Green... That's quite true, guitar works can bring sadness. In fact, lead music from guitars do talk to us... whether in sorrow or in joy. .
Each time, this song made me weep . On Wednesday, 17-Apr-2013, New Zealand passed their law that a new marriage arrangement will be made legal : http://www.news.com.au/world-news/gay-marriage-legalised-in-new-zealand/story-fndir2ev-1226622937625 And then, this song was sung : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0qjg0UOUfA I watched the youtube of the song several times; Each time, this song made me weep. .
This beautiful song made our hearts wept . Tonight is a very cold night in Melbourne (about 6°C). With a breeze blowing, it felt like 4°C. I was walking along a main street in the city, when I heard and saw a Chinese girl (a busker), with a guitar, singing this song : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JFkvGlPG3Q Many stood in the cold to listen to her. Many of us felt sad for her that she has to be busking in a public place on such a cold night. But she sang so beautifully that our hearts wept, and for a moment we have forgotten how cold it was while listening to her singing. .
Bai Hu 白狐 - Arctic Fox Bai Hu 白狐 - Arctic Fox https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDMqQMYK2gU&feature=related Nice classic Chinese love song. This song talks about the love of white fox with man. As the legend goes, he's released the fox from a trap in a former life which is why she swore her loyalty, and has been waiting him for quite a long time. White foxes in folklore live to a thousand years, gaining the ability to transform into a human in time. She's called "bai hu", it means "white fox". She helps him to gain laureateship. Finally, she died when he married another girl. Although he is unfaithful in his love to her, she feels no regret about loving him. This is a love song but it's really sad. Here's the English lyrics (credits to ukiechan):
Wǒ de Lóulán 我的楼兰 - My Loulan Wǒ de Lóulán 我的楼兰 - My Loulan This song is inspired by an archaeology finding of a 3,800-year old middle-aged female body that was buried in the bronze-age Xiaohe Tomb complex, located to the west of Lop Nor (near to Taklamakan Desert, the "sea of death"), Xinjiang, the far western province of China. The body was preserved so well that her hair, skin, nails were almost complete. She had sheep-skin covering, shoes, and hat on her body. Her face, nose, and eyes show that she was a beautiful woman when alive. "Loulan" (楼兰) is an old Chinese word for native people who lived in the areas of the finding. Archaeologists couldn't figure out why the body (1800 BCE) was able to last 3,800 years and it was the biggest mystery in Chinese archaeology history. They named the body "Loulan Beauty". Dao Lang 刀郎 is a famous songwriter and singer in China. Yun Duo 云朵, the singer of this song, is a Qiang ethnic from Sichuan ("Yun Duo" literally means a piece of cloud in the sky). Dao Lang took "Loulan Beauty" and romanticized her with this song's soul-shocking music. The lyrics are in poetry format. The lyrics tell a story of man who fell in love with "Loulan Beauty". He wants to travel far in long distance and back in time to see her beautiful face. He wants to make a mantle for her to keep her warm. He wants to extend his hands to touch her soul. He sees her in lights of the sun and the moon. And he wants to turn into the sand next to her so he could stay with her for thousands of years. The title "My Loulan" make sense in the context of its lyrics. For those who read and speak Chinese and wish to learn more about the story, here's a documentary link about the "楼兰美人" (Loulan Beauty) archaeology finding: simply click this Youtube link "新丝绸之路(1) 生与死的楼兰" too see the said documentary videos (in 5 parts). Bai Hu 白狐 - Arctic Fox . Hi kelana, Thanks for the song, and the lyrics. Indeed, it's a sad song. Somehow, the majority of love songs are sad. Sad, but true. .
Hi Chris-ccc, It's my great pleasure that you do enjoy both songs in my perspective they are great both in melody and poetic lyrics, conveying powerful feeling, able to bring the listener's mind into the far away land of imagination... Cheers! kelana
maybe because I am broken hearted recently, sad love song really gets me these days.. Sodagreen: I miss you
Nothing really makes me weep, however,I do appreciate the songs more and more when I learn to sing them. *I used to go to The Grande Bibliothèque in downtwon Montreal, book a station, relax a bit, listen to Jeff Buckley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8AWFf7EAc4 .Grandma died when I was taking English as second language at Mcgill university.Tears run in my eyes every time I watch this video clip.Every time I hear this song on the radio,I stop and pay attention to the song and remember my grandma a bit.Life goes on and on and on........I've learned to live without her. *It's a pity that we lost another good artist in twenty eleven.Amy Winehouse. These two sing to my soul, touch my spirit deeply, deeply, somehow I don't how to describe.Sounds like there's a devil living in their voices, like they had made a deal with devil.I wish they were still around.Another good piece was Elvis Presley.I don't know why they passed away for unknown reasons.Pity,pity,pity.
They are songs that make our hearts weep . Indeed, they are songs that make our hearts weep. As we have only a few hours left before Year 2013 ends, and before Year 2014 begins; we more often than normal, reflect on the sadder moments of the past year. Yes, it's an emotional time for all of us, at this time of the year. Wishing all BCers A Great New Year 2014 !!! But let's look forward; Look at what challenges we will be facing in 2014. So, it's time to leave sad memories behind. However, I am sure I shall be crying when we are seconds before 2014 begins. .
. It depends on how deep in your heart is touched by the love. It depends on how you feel. But, you can also think about it; and you can have another look at it; just like what this song explains: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBD_8_da7lM .
Teresa Teng 鄧麗君 . Actually, whenever I listen to Teresa Teng singing, my heart weeps. I think of how great a singer she was, and think of why she had to die so young, at the age of only 42. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teresa_Tang .
I just can't picture that.Women look for guys who pay for everything for them,I don't think that's love.I treat everyone equally good;that's good enough for me.
