Will there be a matching short or skirt (for ladies)??.. Socks? Shoes? Since we've entered apparels, I think this thread might need to be renamed to "Panda Power:The Complete Badminton Collection"...
this design is nice, how about 2 types, collar and collarless? and make it free with any panda racket purchase too...
Or else Dink is planning to release a racket with a ten-square-foot-stringbed... I really like that shirt, but I would also prefer a collared one. While I'm exercising my imagination, I might as well ask for a sleeveless version (like the ones the Chinese lads wore at Beijing '08) since I really hate sleeves. If one of those appears I'll probably get half a dozen...
That looks amazing! If they appear in production I think I will have to purchase 1 or 2. Admittedly it won't go perfectly with my trinity 1, but I don't have enough money for a trinity 2 and I really like the trinity 1 as it is. I'm pretty sure the trinity 2 can't be that better... Hope it makes it into production, any ideas of what material it will be made from yet? Or if names can be printed on the back? I appreciate you may not yet have a clue! Looking forward to more info. P.S Please keep the sleeves on, I don't really want a sleeveless shirt to show off my lack of arm muscles!
Panda's been working on the "Revelation"; it won't be available for at least 3+ months though. Here are the final four designs. Please pick your favorite or if you have any suggestions, please post. The differences are: A: 12 o'clock carbon fiber, no text B: 12 o'clock carbon fiber with white text C: 12 o'clock black paint with white text D: 6 & 12 o'clock carbon fiber with white text Hands down...errr...paws down, Panda prefers "D".
haha sounds like ctjcad is fishing for a free racket though I'd have to say D is the best looking one as well. The carbon fibers is what made the preview of the revelation look so damn good in the first place, and I like the placement of the name at the top of the racket. Though I have a tendency to always hit just above the sweet spot and just below the top of the frame, hopefully it wont flake the name off. Also on the subject of the paint job, I was checking out the paint job more thoroughly, and its pretty good, my only gripe concerns the areas around the grommets. On the outside edge of the frame, the stripe decals don't go all the way around, they stop right around where the grommets are. Was that done on purpose? It was noticeable to me, even when strung and slightly covered by string. And on the inside, where the grommets are again, the finish seems to peel a bit, almost like plastic, and mostly around the 12 o clock position. It seems almost like the a super thin laminate finish, then they punched the grommets in, which starts to slightly break the seal, causing the laminate finish to peel back. If you want, I can post pictures of what I'm talking about.
I got some serious playtime with the PP Trinity 2 this weekend, and here are my thoughts. Not my racket (yet), still owned by a friend so bear in mind string tension and grip style does not suit me. Strung with ZM70 @ 26 lbs. Quoted by Sir Dink as 86.7g, BP290. Strung with ZM70 by the masterful hands of the creator Panda himself. Plastic wrap left on, half of a Wilson Pro Overgrip with 1/8th overlap. My normal setup would be original grip removed, layer of thick electrical tape and a karakal PU, no overlap and strung with ZM67 at 21 pounds. So please keep in mind, this review is based on a non ideal setup. Also, YMMV. I love this racket. It has the same power generation as my 2U rackets but with less effort. With my 2U rackets, I prefer the strings at a much lower tension, but with this T2, the power generation and swing speed made it so easy to flex the string bed on clears and smashes despite being ZM70 at 26 pounds. I love it, absolutely do. It felt so darn good, it was like I couldn't miss at all. As if the whole bed was one HUGE sweet spot. Hard drops, soft smashes, clears, all effortless and easy. Lifts were dead-eye accurate. I had my scepticism since I tend to like things 88g and higher, but this was one lovely lady. The only problem was my drops were off since the grip did not reach the cone, and I was used to placing my hand higher up the shaft to play drops and net shots and drives. It sounds so wishy-washy to jump from the Zelm PP9990, to APACS Nano 900 Powers, to the new T2 in the last 6 months, but I have loved each one more than the last. However, I still feel my technique is lacking, so I will stick with my 2U Nano 900 Powers for now, because I find it easier to self-analyze how I swing with heavier rackets. I may probably order a second one, but I am definitely buying this racket from my friend if he'll let me since he does not like the specs on this one as much as his other one at 86.1g, BP287. Overall, I once again congratulate Sir Dink on making a fine racket indeed. The T2 easily outperforms any (low or high-end) Yonex racket I've ever played with, and I've tried almost all of them, except the new Carbonex and Z-Slash. This may be the first time I've played with a racket, and immediately wanted to buy a second as a backup. Everything else has been really good, but I want to try out at least my grip style on the racket before buying a second one, though I may keep the T2 at its current string setup. No wonder my clears have been going out lately, I've been playing at 21 lbs instead of 26 I'll give it an 8/10 because of the short grip problems, and I'll re-rate it with more detail when it becomes mine ^_^
Also, the t-shirts are sexy sexy sexy, ESPECIALLY with a collar. But sleeves please, collars require sleeves IMO. Though honestly, a 30 dollar pricetag would scare me off definitely. Though if I got one or two (please two please two though I doubt it ) free with every racket ordered, it'd definitely convince me to buy another Trinity 2 if you have the specs I want in the next shipment.
I like the shirt, but I'd want a collar and buttons, style polo. You need sleeves if you want to sell it in Asia. In many asian countires its not acceptable for men to wear no sleeves. It's a social thing there, 'wifebeater' style, which is acutally better adapted to the heat can actually get you told off in some clubs, and as a general rule asian people avoid wearing them.
Taking a second look at the shirt (I'm 30 years in the rag trade), the design is nice, but I don't think it would work, the side panels are made from 13 different pieces of cloth, plus the shoulder stripes, plus the edge of the sleeve pieces. There's too much work in that shirt, your production costs would be too high and bear in mind that a single piece of cloth is far stronger than 2 pieces sewn together. Every seam is a weak point. It looks good, I have no quibble with that, but I don't think it's feasible.
