Yo, just received a message from my friend. China team has arrived in Malaysia already. They depart from China yesterday night. All the best to her as well as China team players. :)

South Korea withdrew from this tournament because MOST of their players are busy with their country's national games;)

That is partly true. ALL of them are busy with the National Sports Festival. MOST will continue to be busy after it finishes on Monday. More details HERE. Technically, it's not a 'withdrawal' as they did not send in any registrations in the first place.

My mistake. George is correct about 'most'. The middle school players (including the three who were sent to the AJC, incidentally) cannot play in the NSF so Korea could theoretically have sent an absurdly under-strength team to Alor Setar.

I'm not sure I understand your question but The Star, for example, reported that the BWF said 'we did not hear anything from South Korea'. No one has reported Korea saying 'Oh, Darn! Was it yesterday?' Remember, no one suspected China of 'missing' the registration deadline for the Dutch Open.;)

The National Sports Festival has been on the schedule all year. There is no reason to suspect that Korea not registering for the WJC was an accident.

India scrapped though Filipino attack. Indians need good doubles pair to get some results here.
With Cambodia gone, home team is going to play less matches!!! Poor organisers, this means less fans coming :(
