Because that would mean we have to involve ourselves in a scam to see wether or not it's true. What matters in this world is science, facts, test/repeat/observe, that sort of stuff. Reading the stuff supplied by Phiten themselves, their whole 'theory' cracks under even the slightest scrutiny. It's obvious to anyody it's a placebo-effect driven product. "how can you know when you haven't tried it?" is the worst argument ever... for example: -How can you know peanutbutter cures headaches when you haven't tried it yourself? You want to wear a metal bracelate, fine, surely, but really, it's just that....
yep, the most important thing is whether are u happy enough? with the product. different ppl got different kind of view points
Right, right, unless you actually care about what is true Is it true that that piece of titanium encrourages bloodflow? is it true that wearing a necklace cures your backpain? I do care, because there may be people out there, with chronic pains and problems, spending their good money on products that won't work. There may be people out there aggrevating their own injury's by continiuing their excersises 'but with a bracelet'. It's always the same thing with alternative medicine. Make a ******** claim, bad science in support, a lot of personal testimonies, but in the end you just have to believe.
Now, for some light reading, I'll try and digest some claims made by Phiten (source: http://www.cerritosbadminton.com/phiten.html) From the bat, relaxation is not a qantity, nor a quality, I doubt it's even a word. Hower, let's continue. There seems to be a "bio-electrical current" going through our body... Which is, indeed, not the case. Our bodies nerve-system communicates via small electrical impulse, however, no such "current" flows through our bodies. And thank goodness, because otherwise we might lose our 'energy' when we touch a groundwire.... Now, suppose we have a bioelectrical current passing through us, and suppose that improving that can relax us, what would strapping metal to your skin do? Metals can conduct current, but in no way can they improve them, just like strapping a piece of metal to a lightbulb doesn't make it shine brighter.... Next claim, "titanium generated energy".... Do I really have to epxlain this? Energy is generated through work (or, if you want to go einstein on me, they are the same) A piece of metal that is just strapped to someones body doesn't generate anything. Come on people, this should be obvious. So, I ask you know, how can a product work when their own explanation is so clearly bogus? next up: the necklace So, in this one, they won't even say how it works, just that it does.... I like it, less superstition, more placebo. Now, water soluble titanium? Okay, just off the bat, titanium is just an element, like chlorine, hydrogen, iron, gold, you name it. So to say that "this type is soluble" is just clearly wrong. Next, if it's soluble, you better not wear it when it's raining And lastly, even if it is soluble, and even if that means that your necklace won't fall apart when you start sweating. It still won't do anything, as titanium is just an inert metal. So, basically, as demonstrated not only by me, but also by the entire scientific community, titanium just doesn't do anything. Now I ask you, how can a product work when it's foundations are so clearly wrong?
It's a good thing this isn't some fancy-claim digestive or spurious tonic. If so, one would have to drink it in copious amounts just to decry it One doesn't have to dunk his head in the toilet-bowl to know that unicorns don't live in the plumbing. Facts are what we go by... not fairy-tales of people being rejuvenated, revived and cured by inert metal collars. PS: I also wish to repeat this post
Clearly, it doesn't help improve spelling, grammar or credibility! Here's a gem from the marketing website: "Revolutionary Titanium Discs help increases energy and promote relaxtaion by improving flow of bioelectrical current throughout the body. Titanium Discs generated energy increases body temperature and enhances performance. Helps Relieve Pain. Made in Japan." Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha This is proving to be such excellent comedy!
statistics have shown that laughter promote long life. Therefore, this product does have some values but not from wearing the product but by reading their marketing claims which generate uncontrollable laughter that will lift u up from your ache and pain while extending your life to boot.
Hi All.... I am new here... I know Phiten from my friends who are playing Badminton... and now I am wearing X50...
no problem, just an statistical observation. If it really does work for u, i envy u since it doesn't work for me unfortunately. BTW. Welcome to BF
From all my badminton friends, they claim Phiten products really help them to reduce the pain...well, for me, i am not a heavy sport player... only jogging once every few weeks...haha...
u have to refer to mr oldhand's theory then btw, feel sorry for you because phiten doesnt works for u u must have been regretted
why regrets? i think it doesn't work so it didn't work, where as in your case, u think it work, so the product worked
