    Carbonex 8400 Ti
    2UG5
    17-22 lbs
    7.5-9.5 kg

    the above are the info i found on my racket.

    The racket was bought around 2 years ago.
    i am currently still using the string that comes with it, its BG65.
    I roughly know how to play badminton. I do sometime mis-hit when swinging to clear or smashing.
    I dont have very strong arm. I can clear from my mid court to opponent's court out line.

    can tell me what are those 2ug5, lbs and kg about?
    is it true that BG65 loss tension a lot?
    what string should i use if i were to restring?

    Thanks in advance.

    2UG5 = racket weight category is 2U, handle size is G5
    as for new string, try either bg66 or bg80, string at 22lbs for starting.
    as you move on, may experiment to higher tension or go lower if you find that 22lbs if too stiff.

    the what is the
    "17-22 lbs
    7.5-9.5 kg"
    trying to say??? the weight of the racket? or the tension for the string that the racket can hold without deform?

    is it true that BG65 loss tension easily?
    is it true that BG66 breaks easily because its 0.66mm in diameter?
    there is a label on the BG80 packaging "Hard Feeling". what are these "Hard Feeling", "Medium Feeling" and "Soft Feeling" ???

    17-22lbs is the recommended string tension.
    bg66 isnt that easily break.
    bg65 loose tension fast.....
    hard feeling = stiffer string bed, more vibration
    medium = medium stiff
    soft = less vibrate

    dont worry too much.

    bg66 easily break, 1-2 months? try new tension, see how it goes with you.

    then what is the
    "7.5-9.5 kg"
    trying to say??? the weight of the racket?

    is higher tension for the string better or lower tension better?
    how will these hard, medium and soft feeling affect the play?

    You should try NBG95 since it has good power and last very long. The tension range is the manufacturer's "recommended" maximum tension for warranty purposes. You can easily go much higher than that with a good stringer.

    If you look at NBG98 it has the same diameter as BG66 with 0.66mm but the durability is higher than that of BG80, BG85 and BG66. The materials used to make the string are more likely to determine how long the string will last.

    The "Kg" is the conversion from "Lbs" which also means the tension range. Some stringers will ask what you what tension you want in Kg and some in Lbs. Lower tension will give you more power but if you want flex the string at higher tension then go for it.

    Personally i go with medium feel because you do need a bit of feeling for the shuttlecock but not too much vibration.

    6.5kg = 17lb
    9.5kg = 22lb

    i will not use the 6kg racket.....!

    there is no say about good at high tension nor low tension, very very depending on individual preference. if you ask this question to Pete or master Dink, they will just ask you to string it at 32lbs....:D

    any other recommendation, other member will advise......

    do not worry too much.........:)

    to know whether you have hit it hard or soft. feel the slice. without any feeling, you are not able to control the shuttle.

    to know if you hit the shuttle hard or soft isn't it depends on whether i swing the racket hard or soft?

    You may swing as hard as you can but you can't feel the shuttlecock hitting the stringbed so may have less control. You can also feel the shuttlecock hit the sweetspot with a certain vibration feeling.

    2U is the second heaviest in the category of weight. The heaviest is U and the lightest is 5U. There are also rackets up to 200grams but they are for training purposes only. 2U can range from 90-95grams. A 2U racket have mainly better offensive play compared to defensive play.
