Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 05-Aug-2012 (A Short Report) . Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 05-Aug-2012 (A Short Report) We welcomed Thanh-N attending her first time. Hope that she has enjoyed and has learnt a few things from us. At this CCC CATS, we worked on various drills: Dropshot, Smash and Decision Making. Some comments: 1. For the Lift, your follow-through swing is important to direct your shot with accuracy. 2. For the Dropshot, your point of impact (at about 11 o'clock) is important to create the flat trajectory. 3. For the Smash, your point of impact should be further in front than your Dropshot, to create a steeper trajectory. 4. For the Bounce, it is best performed when done at eye-level. Therefore, remember to keep your racket-head at eye-level when anticipating to perform the Bounce. 5. For your longest reach, have your racket-foot forward to perform the Bounce. And don't forget to count your footwork. 6. For the Block, it is best (when anticipating your opponent's Smash) to have your racket-head around knee-level. 7. Know how to best set/place your "Maxima" when performing your Bounce and Block. 8. etc, etc, ... * Timothy-T, now being better, should work on "Deceptive Shots". * Markus-H, Daisy-L, Theo-D and KeChong-K will need more practice on "Footwork". * Thanh-N will need more practice on her basic shots first.
